A wonderful Studio apartment. It was exactly as described and shown in the pictures – very clean, well equipped, and in very convenient location. Many good restaurants close by – go with Michael’s recommendations! A great place to stay in NYC! We look forward to planning another trip to NYC and we will stay here!!
I have rented three separate apartments in NYC on 3 different occasions and this is the only one of the three that I WILL be back/come home to. I visited NYC for four days with my young daughter and this place felt like home. The owner, Michael, was friendly and helpful. The apartment is safe and cozy in the heart of Chelsea, with a Whole Foods three blocks away and the A/C/E line 1.5 blocks away. The apartment itself was quiet (sound-proof windows!), recently updated and exactly like it looks in the pictures online.
We had an unexpected medical emergency in which we had to arrive about a week early and leave after 4dys instead of 7. Micheal was exceptionally accommodating and was quite happy to shift dates, he offered to contact his GP to see if he could help us and he even gave a refund (unasked) for our unused days.
We come from Australia and to strike someone who is so helpful and so full of goodwill while in New York was great.
The area is beautiful, you can hardly believe you are in New York, walking the highline to Times Square or sampling the local restaurants and shops was all good, I don't know if we'll be back to New York but if we are we will stay here again!!!
It was a treat to stay in this efficient studio instead of a hotel. The apartment is small, but very comfortable with everything we needed. There were basic provisions in the kitchen and bathroom, which was convenient. In fact, the apartment was exactly as described. We loved the location as it was easy to hop on the subway just a few blocks away to get uptown quickly. With the High Line only a block away, we enjoyed walking it to the Whitney Museum and Chelsea Market and meandering through the neighborhood galleries on the way back. Michael and Catherine were perfect hosts. They provided us with many restaurant recommendations in advance, which helped us plan our meals. They also suggested the Trestle Restaurant for Sunday brunch when we arrived...a perfect start to our visit. One rainy afternoon, Michael appeared at our door with a large slice of hot strudel he had just baked, which was a lovely treat. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends.
We had 5 nights and really enjoyed the quiet residential location . A quick 2 block walk to the subway and good cafes and restaurants only a few blocks walk away. (We had a great dinner at Cookshop on 22nd) . Michael was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions and we appreciated his flexibility with our booking when our arrival was delayed 3 days due to the snowstorm! The apartment was neat , clean and compact and bed very comfortable. Kitchen had good facilities if you want to eat in.
I really enjoyed my brief stay in a real New York City apartment.
Catherine welcomed me and gave me an extensive tour and answered any questions I had.
I was very impressed by the cleanliness and amenities of this 450 square foot space. It had everything I needed for my stay, and then some!
The only negative comment I can make is the heat coming from the radiators and no way of controlling it, other than opening a window!
I plan on booking this place again!
