About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Attached Unit, 1.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 4-5)

Come on down, grab a cool drink and nestle yourself into our hammock under the whispering Florida pines. Watch the sunrise from our secluded dock and the sunset from the pristine beach every day. Relax... You are in 'Old Florida' now.

This is a true island surrounded by the beautiful blue/green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Located in Colony Don Pedro, deserted, white sandy beaches on the west side and intercoastal, backwaters on the east side. Put your car on the private ferry over to the island and feel the stress leave your body.

No traffic here. The only sounds you will hear are the fish jumping in the lagoon or the waves crashing the beach. Most days, Stan, our resident turtle will wake you as he passes by for a few green beans or a few chomps on our hibiscus flowers.

Just 200 feet from your front door you can head south down the uninhabited beach, pass through the state park, about three miles and you are at the tip of Little Gasparilla Island. From that point south you are looking at Boca Grande. Head north up the beach about the same distance and visit the Palm Island Resort. Either direction you go the seashells and sharks teeth are under your feet. Watch for tarpon rolling, dolphins cruising, manatees, and loggerhead turtles bobbing their heads as you walk. Remember to take a dip in our gulf side private pool after your relaxing stroll.

Relax out back on the dock with your fishing pole. The snook, redfish, and trout are always there waiting to challenge you. Watch your bait, Jimmy the Egret will sneak up behind you and steal your fish food. Bring your boat and venture out into the fertile back country waters for giant snook, redfish, and tarpon. Or head down to Boca Grande or Stump Pass for world class Florida fishing.

So if you blew out your flip-flop, or stepped on a pop-top, relax you’re in paradise!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cozy and clean house, great surroundings and amenities. The beach, kayaks, sharks teeth, shelling, fishing from the dock. The Armadillo cruising through the yard many times. The pool was great, get a golf cart to cruise the island. Jim Hick's Golf Carts, great service.....

Try the Rum Bay Restaurant and Coconuts Ice Cream shop.

Exceeded our expectations!

We just returned from a 1 week stay with another couple and could not have been happier with Incommunicado. The owners thought of everything, the house was so clean and outfitted with beach towels, umbrella, chairs, and kayaks, we really didn't need to bring anything. We had 5 other couples at two other locations and they all loved this little place when we hosted a dinner. We were able to kayak in the inlet and we also rented a pontoon to Boca Grande and Cabbage Key. The pool was very clean and refreshing, but most of our time was spent on the beach. A beach we basically had to ourselves! What a relaxing vacation! We are already planning our next trip and Incommunicado will be our home for that can bet on it!

Highly Recommend Incommunicado!

We just enjoyed the best 2 week vacation at this incredibly comfortable beach house! We felt quite at home thanks to all the thoughtful touches. The house was very well equipped for all our needs. The weather was great, the beach practically empty except for plenty of shark's teeth plus lots of wildlife sightings on our golf cart rides through the island. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise!

This was a perfect place to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday. Our two boys (10 and 15) loved every minute. The home is simply perfect. Tracy has thought of everything. We felt as though it was "our beach house" for a week. We say gopher turtles, manatee, dolphins and found over 600 shark teeth. We plan on returning every other year. It was a memory vacation - - one we will treasure forever. Thank you Tracy!

I absolutly love this property!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been staying at this house for almost around 8 years straight for every spring break. The porch is great if you want to have dinner outside and if not too many mosquitos you can eat downstairs. I would definitely recommend a golf cart if you want to explore island. Fishing is amazing and the kayaks are very useful. The area since we have gone has been very safe, and no unusual activity. I recommend this rental property all the way!

"Loved our stay."

  • 5 of 5

This Villa is so welcoming. The owners are accommodating and conscientious. What a relaxing place to visit. We enjoyed walks at the beach, a nap in the hammock, shower in the outdoor shower (enjoyed the rain shower head) and dinner on the screened porch. What a perfect day. Then wake up and do it again. Can't wait to come back.
