A perfect spot for a celebratory family reunion

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I were looking for a large, comfortable home for a family reunion/post wedding celebration. Seven Bridges Farm was the perfect spot. The home itself is large and comfortable with beautiful east coast charm and just enough glamour to make it special. We split most of our time between the large back patio and the pool. Both offer stunning views of the grounds. We had 9 people staying at the house and everyone had privacy. There are plenty of bathrooms - most folks had their own. All of the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the basement game room was a favorite place to hang out. The house has AC units and forced air which kept it cool despite the July heat and humidity. Brian, the superstar who manages the home, was available 24/7 and took great care of my family. He also runs the Old Chatham Country Store, a restaurant and store down the road which offers delicious sit down meals in addition to take away items and much needed basics like milk, bread, beers and wine. He went out of his way to provide fantastic food to our road weary crew. Another superstar, Dave, manages the working farm across the road. He kindly took folks on tours of the property and put out hay and feed so we could feed the horses, pigs, chickens and cows. The kids loved that. I especially enjoyed running for miles along the trails and back roads on the property. I highly recommend Seven Bridges Farm for a group get away. It was hands down the best VRBO experience we've ever and we will definitely be back.

Incredible place, incredible stay. Picturesque home on beautiful, sprawling property. Our visit could not have been better. Large spacious rooms full of character and country charm. Multiple fireplaces. Fully equipt chefs kitchen, fire pit & brick barbecue for grilling outside. Really enjoyed the salt water pool during the day.. and at night under the stars! Also Dave is the best! He had fresh eggs from the chickens and beautiful squash from the garden waiting in the kitchen for us upon arrival. A perfect stay.

Fabulous place

  • 5 of 5

We rented this spacious and well appointed house in Old Chatham for a family reunion. But what we found was BETTER than the description. it was homey for the kids, elegant for the adults, large enough for privacy yet designed for communal gatherings. The heated pool allowed the children to swim from morning to evening; the play room allowed them to learn new games. The kitchen is well designed for a large group, too. We couldn't ask for anything more. Oh, and Brian's salsa and chips are a miracle on the taste bud!!

This house has it all!!! Immaculate design (this house is newly renovated-- with reclaimed materials--which to me is the ideal). It has top of the line fixtures and amenities. This house is the absolute perfect combination of rustic, chic, utility & comfort. We are a group of 8 friends (a combination of some couples and some singles) who escaped NYC for Mem Day Wknd. The kitchen is fantastic for a group of our size. We cooked every meal and aside from a few of the guys playing golf one morning, we never left the house! The outdoor patio area is so relaxing and fun to hang out in. Some of us would play bocce, others would be grilling, while some meandered over to the Icelandic ponies across the dirt road. There are multiple places to curl up and read a book for those looking for quiet downtime. In the evenings, we hung out in the basement area which has a sweet set up including a pool table, bar stools, surround sound, huge flat screen tv, and comfortable seating for playing games. Set on 400 acres, you could explore outside every day for hours. Things like two dishwashers and a separate wet bar with ice machine were major bonuses. The folks managing the property are also very attentive and hospitable! We will absolutely be back. Can't wait to rent again.

What a fabulous house this is. The setting is beautiful, with a wonderful view from every window. And the house is a delight. Every detail in every room is a treat for the eye. The rooms are comfortable as well, with lots of sitting areas throughout the house and outdoors too. The needs of guests have been anticipated and met. The house exceeded my expectations, which were already high, so I was pleasantly surprised

It is a perfect spot for a relaxing get-away no matter what time of year.
