About Kathy King

We built this home in 2005 because we worked and played in town, but loved the feel of privacy and solitude just minutes away. Even the drive home was relaxing and felt like entering a different world.. We know you will enjoy this too.

Kathy King purchased this house in 2005

Why Kathy King chose Temecula Valley

The views all around the home are spectacular. The home is on a hill and has total privacy for your relaxation. Has an area behind the house with a small creek and oaks to explore, or just take a blanket and a bottle of wine and relax under one of the trees.

What makes this house unique

We have Avocado trees, Navel and Valencia orange trees, sweet Ruby Red grapefruit trees. Also a white Peach tree and a 'cuties' tangerine tree. Whenever these fruits are in season we love to share them with our guest.

Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

The property is more than impressive. Eveything was clean and in order. The King's left no stones unturned. Everything that a home should have they had it and more. The property exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal allowing for privacy in the secluded area. As beautiful as the pictures and description on the website is, it does not do the property justice as it doesn't come close to the beauty that the property encompasses. Equiped with all essentials, we wanted for nothing. The property owner, Kathy was very welcoming, not intrusive and readily available to assist us. We hand a wonderful time in the home and have,no,complaints. Would definitely refer to others.

Incredible experience, beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a fantastic time at this beautiful home. The kids (and adults) loved the pool and being able to enjoy our vacation together. Kathy took care of some unwanted visiting bees, in lightening speed. We were just amazed. We would highly recommend. What great memories were made!

Beautiful, secluded wine country get-away!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for my bachelorette party weekend for me and 9 of my girlfriends. It was exactly what I was looking for! The house's open floor plan is perfect for a low-key get together like this. The ten of us had an amazing time hanging by the pool, grilling out, playing pool and enjoying the bar area. We also had a yoga teacher come in and teach a private class for us outside by the pool (the lawn area is perfect for that as well if you do it early enough in the day when it's not too hot!) The house was very clean when we arrived, and the rooms all had fresh linens for each person. We were there during a heat wave and the house was always comfortably cool. Even for a big group of women, we never had to fight for a bathroom. The host, Kathy, is close by and came by when we first got there to show us around and answer any questions. She was very kind and helpful throughout and the binder of information about the house she created answers almost any question we had. We had such a memorable and wonderful stay that we are talking about doing it again next year!

We did leave the house a couple of times to go to dinner and to a wine tour, but mostly hung out there because we wanted some quality time together. That is literally the only (very small) drawback to the house is that it's a bit out of the way from more lively areas (but that's also one of the benefits!) Phone reception is spotty (but there's wifi!) so just keep that in mind. For us, it was nice to not be chained to our phones and computers for a weekend!

Thanks Kathy!

A taste of Tuscany!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a trip to this house with six adults and three young kids. We had an amazing time! The house is well laid out with a large open common area that opens right up to the pool and overlooks many acres of beautiful hillsides. You literally can't see a single ugly structure in any direction. The owners were great too! Very nice and helpful!

Magnificent getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The King's home in Temecula is spectacular! Our family gathered there and it worked out so well. It is out of the main town about 15 minutes on a large piece of property with views of the surrounding hills. The home is what you see in the pictures, but to be there in person is even better!! Three of the 5 bedrooms look out onto the beautiful pool and the view is lovely. They have bird feeders out, so there is variety of small birds coming to feed which are beautiful, and off in the distance hawks soaring! The pool area was like being at a resort, but your own private retreat. The pool table was fun for everyone, The home is clean, fresh towels/sheets for all the beds, adequate supplies of dishes, pans etc. There was even a coffee bar with some supplies. There was a formal dining room where we had one of our dinners, but mostly we ate outside at the pool. There were many places to sit, lounges to relax, and a great outdoor gas BBQ that we used for each dinner. We enjoyed visiting a few wineries and the Old Temecula while we were there, but frankly the King's home was the highlight of our trip!! Plan on returning for sure.

Private Resort In the Hills of Temecula

The property is far enough away that there is silence, privacy and space. But we are close enough to town that we can enjoy all Temecula has to offer.

We are on the west side of Temecula off the 15 fwy,(Rancho Calif. Rd.) up the hill past many avocado/citrus groves. We are 10 miles from the off-ramp and so only about 12 minutes from the Promanade Mall,Costco,Trader Joe's,grocery stores and 20+restaurants. We are 2 minutes to the Historic Santa Rosa Plateu which offers biking, horse trails, and beautiful hikes and a natural preserve.Cross Creek golf course is 3 miles away. The wineries/wine tasting rooms start right down the hill @Old Town Temecula on Front St.and continue again about 5 min.away continuing east on Rancho Calif.Rd.

Other Activities: Hot Air Ballooning, Wine tasting/tours, miniature golf, live theatre, hiking, casino, skydiving, and nearby Mt Palomar Observatory. The Rod run, Tractor Races Wine and Baloon Festival, Frontier Days. Walk thru Old Town Temecula and look at all the variety of shops. Also our own Playhouse Theatre

Movie Theaters, and Sushi Bars are my favs.
