We enjoyed our stay at Villa Souso in its charming, unspoiled and inviting part of Italy. The villa is in a private, secluded area yet within easy reach of local shops, restaurants and amenities. We felt very
comfortable here and would return without a doubt.
We managed by to explore many local villages and coastal resorts, frequented by local people.
The local markets at sermonette and Sezze are a must!
And we agree with other guests reviews about Vittorio's fabulous pizza and a home cooked food!
We would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and relatives.
I have to be honest. Although villa was very clean and nicely situated. We found that constant dog barking from several dogs in the neighbouring properties was a little tedious to say the least. This is obviously not a fault of the owner and cannot be held responsible for this. Lack of clean sheets supplied after first week. I will point out the owner is very attentive and is very quick at getting any problems sorted. I refer to TV control missing. Next morning caretaker was there with the control straight away.
In pictures this property looks brilliant. We felt it wasn't as private as it appears on the website I should also point out that we were very surprised and shocked to find a CCTV camera aimed at the pool when we arrived. Not really what you want to see when hiring a villa. It felt rather creepy at the time. I also would like to point out that whatever video was being recorded from CCTV we had no access to. When we queried the CCTV after our stay we were then informed that it was on at nighttime for security .I have to say that unfortunately we won't be returning to this property.
We have twice spent holidays at this attractive villa in the heart of a rural village. Villa Suso is in a quiet residential area away from tourist crowds but within easy reach of several attractive coastal resorts. In barely an hour you can reach Rome by train for a day out in the eternal city.
All around Sezze there are hilltop villages to explore, with local museums offering insights into the fascinating history of this region.
The villa itself has a secluded pool, surrounded by a generous sunbathing space. Verandahs front and back provide shade and escape from the sun on the hottest days. The front glassed-in verandah with TV and comfy sofas doubles as a spacious sitting area for evening relaxation. The villa is well-equipped with all mod cons making it a real "home from home" holiday base.
Sezze itself provides all the shops necessary for daily essentials, including delicious ice-creams. There is an excellent local restaurant - Vittorio's - within 15 minutes walking distance, serving BBQ meats and
giant tasty pizzas with the lightest crust imaginable. There are many other inviting restaurants and trattorias only a short drive away, so no shortage of choice for eating out.
All in all we would recommend Vislla Suso for a relaxing sunshine holiday.
Villa is in a lovely location. Very comfortable and has everything a family needs for a relaxing holiday. The pool and garden are stunning. Local shopkeepers and supermarkets are very helpful - our Italian is very basic. Weather was wonderful . Visited Rome on a very hot train journey. Very good night out at Vittoris. Car is essential. We loved our first time in Italy. Thank you.
Great stay in this calm environment with easy access to the Rome area. The kids enjoyed the sunny pool area and for us grown ups the patio near the fig tree was a great escape! Thanks Maurizio!
This a fantastic villa tucked away in a rural mountain village. It is very well equipped, has plenty of space for a family and has a great pool. The local village is fantastic with a great greengrocers and bakery selling local produce, fabulous takeaway pizza and a wonderful local restaurant (Da Vittorios), where we made to feel incredibly welcome. Rome is easy on the train from either Sezze or Latina, and the drive down the mountain to the beaches at Sabaudia and Sperlonga is well worth it. All in all a perfect villa in a perfect spot.
