GUESTS SAY THEY LOVE STAYING AT RESTORATION OAKS!
Restoration Oaks Vacation/Retreat House recently underwent an in-depth remodel, making it a great choice for small to medium sized groups looking for modern amenities, great decorating, comfort, and location convenience — all in a natural, rustic setting on a 1,000 acre working Ranch. The Retreat House and adjoining Cookhouse (an additional cabin-like lounge area for playing games or just hanging out) are located directly off Highway 101, near the front of the property at Restoration Oaks Ranch & Blueberry Farm near the Santa Ynez Valley.
The seemingly endless trails and miles of private dirt roads on the property, are great for hiking, jogging, and mountain biking. Your group will enjoy the rolling hills, mountains, canyons, valleys, and seasonal creeks and ponds. During winter and spring months the grass is green and the ponds are often full, while the rest of the year tends to be more dry. It all depends on recent rainfall, but either way, there are always beautiful views and interesting areas to explore. NOTE: For general safety, we strongly suggest exploring in pairs or small groups. Children should always be accompanied and supervised by adults when away from the residential areas.
iPod ready sound systems, 2 flat screen DishNet Satellite TVs, Wii Gaming System, and a Kawaii piano makes Restoration Oaks an enjoyable place to host retreats, small family get-togethers, and relaxing vacation getaways.
The Retreat House is minutes away from many local wineries, the Chumash Casino, and the Danish town of Solvang (see listing for other local attractions). Wine tasting is a favorite pass time in our area and Buellton (5 minutes away and home to the filming of the movie ‘Sideways’) has several top end restaurants to choose from. Buellton also has convenient shopping, including a large Albertson's Supermarket, and CVS Pharmacy. Just a little further is the Danish town of Solvang, with enough shops and gift stores to fill a day. Los Olivos is a town full of antique stores and shops—20 minutes north on Hwy. 101.
For a real ‘laid back’ treat, try star gazing. The lack of city lights seem to make the stars shine brighter than many are used to, and relaxing under the night sky is easily one of the least strenuous ways to spend the last part of your day.
Families, groups, friends, and Guests who hold specialized retreats at Restoration Oaks, all seem to love their experiences there. We hope you will too.
We stayed here in January for a girls weekend (scrapbooking, games, movies and chatting) and we had a blast. Will definitely be back!
Both sides of our families (13 including my husband and I) stayed at Restoration Oaks for our wedding weekend. We will forever be grateful for our experience at this amazing property. It was extraordinary inside and out. The main house had the perfect layout for our group, affording plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Clean and well maintained. The kitchen was large, fully equipped, and had a huge picture window overlooking the beautiful patio and courtyard (we ended up gathering in the patio area the most). Beautiful fresh grapes grew from the lattice work, and there was plenty of shaded seating for everyone. It was a joy to discover all the nooks and crannies that the owners had so thoughtfully appointed, including colorful landscape choices and fragrant flowers. My husband and I stayed in the bungalow, which allowed for privacy but was also easily accessible through the shared courtyard. Nighttime is magical: light strings running all across the courtyard area, the sounds of the two fountains, and the peaceful feeling that this property inspires. Be sure to explore everywhere! Just a short walk from the house, you can pick blueberries, or observe the chickens, pigs, bunnies, and goats. For a slightly longer jaunt, hike or drive the main road through the ranch. Spot the barn, the foot bridge, beautiful oak trees, cattle grazing, and the absolute stillness and peacefulness of this stunning land. Though it is centrally located to all the area offers, you could easily be very happy just enjoying the ranch as a destination. We had everything we needed. I could see it being perfect for any gathering such as a farm wedding, reunion, or retreat. We cannot wait to return - it was truly unforgettable!
We had a wonderful time. This place is everything it’s advertized to be - amazingly comfortable, spacious and well appointed. We were surprised that there were enough plates and glasses and tableware for us all, plenty of towels for our 3-day stay. And there is so much to do: bocce ball, ping pong, and foosball, hiking (wrong time of year for blueberry picking – but we will be back), side trips to Nojoqui, Solvang, the beach, the casino – something for everyone.
We were invited to this ranch to celebrate our friend's birthday and it was just amazing! The place is beautiful and comfortable and you can see that the owner truly care about this place. There are personal details all over and by the end of our weekend I was truly sad to leave. I would come back here without any question.
We had a wonderful stay at this ranch. Our family of ten spent Thanksgiving weekend there (3 nights). The place was beautiful and very comfortable. The kids loved feeding the animals, going on hikes, playing in the large grass area and of course the blueberry picking. The property managers were very nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend this place. You will love it. We will be back!!!
