Fantastic stay in Colmar!

My sister in law and I stayed for five nights in this property and it was perfect. The host, Stephane was so helpful and the apartment was beautifully furnished and equipped and in the best location. It is in a very old building and has been tastefully renovated, retaining the old timbers and charm but with modern kitchen and bathroom. It has everything one could wish for and is in the centre of the old town so we could walk everywhere and has cafes and restaurants right below the apartment. However was still very quiet. Would recommend this apartment as the place to stay when in Colmar.

Great Place to Stay

Stephane is a charming host with a great apartment. The secured parking place was a main consideration for choosing this rental and we are glad we did. The location is superb and and can recommend this place to others.

Beautiful apartment well located in charming French town

Our family of 4 (2 adults + kids 11 and 14) really enjoyed our time in Colmar in this spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and well-situated apartment. A full modern kitchen and bathroom with washing machine were at our disposal. You are steps away from everything in Colmar, which is a beautiful and charming town, great for strolling about, with many interesting shops. There are lots of great restaurants ('Brasserie des Tanneurs' is around the corner) (Alsace style pizza at 'La Soi') (cheese pretzels at 'Poulaillon') and cafés (Amandine + Jupiler). We also rented bikes at the main train station, and went for a half-day ride along the canal outside of town. We highly recommend it!

Spacious apartment

A great location in the middle of the old part of town and about 5 mins (10 euros) by taxi from the train station. This apartment has very large rooms and furniture is good. It would be fine using the sofa bed for an extra couple. There are windows in each room with nice views down to the streets on either side. However it is quite dark and the lighting is very inadequate. Bathroom good. The separate toilet room, like many in Europe, is very small and enclosed with no window. Stephane was very pleasant and helpful and I would recommend his apartment.

This is THE place to stay!

Our family had the best stay in Colmar.... this apartment is perfectly located right in the middle of the old town in walking distance of everything.... great sights, restaurants, bakeries and stores. We spent 4 days here and took a day trip to Freiburg & Triburg and also into the Alsace wine region. Colmar itself is filled will wonderful churches, museums, beautiful buildings, canals, culture and delicious restaurants. We can't wait to go back!

This apartment is a jewel: location, lift, accommodations, parking, and a wonderful owner!

Let’s start with the location – it couldn’t have been more perfect. The historic center of Colmar is just outside your door to complete all your sightseeing. Plus there’s multiple restaurants, markets (we were so fortunate to be there for the local Thursday market – the produce was so fresh and tasty), and shopping. Then with parking provided it made it so easy to visit nearby towns without the hassle of finding parking upon return. (Note: parking is provided in an underground parking lot, and the space is a bit “tight”; however, I was able to park a full size minivan in the spot. A smaller car though would have been a lot more ideal.) Now for the apartment. Wow! As I was travelling with elderly parents having a lift is essential. They so enjoyed being able to come and go as they wished. Additionally, the bathroom has a walk-in shower which was also very advantages for them (climbing in/out of a tub is not so good for them).

The apartment is fully outfitted with everything you need for a holiday, and everything was in excellent condition. Just as advertised there are two large bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher!), and we found everything we needed. We’d arranged for Stéphane to provide linens, and they too were top notch.

Stéphane took the time to show me how everything worked in the apartment, and then walked me to the parking lot showing me the neighborhood and providing excellent suggestions for where to visit and dine. I so hope to be able to visit Colmar again in the near future, and that Stéphane will allow our return.
