This house was fantastic. We had six in our party ranging from age 12 - 70 and everyone had a wonderful time. The house was beautifully and comfortably furnished. Plenty of room to hang out and play games or watch TV. We were able to comfortably eat dinner together in the well stocked kitchen. The yard was very tidy and the kids had fun being able to play outside (rather than being stuck inside of a hotel room.) But even better was how clean, clean, clean the house was. I felt like we were the first group to stay there!
The location was convenient to all of the tourist attractions. Easy drive or walk.
We would recommend this property to any group who would like a clean, convenient, comfy place to vacation.
Nice and a cozy place for family gathering. Well kept. Very accessible to all attractions.
We rented this for a family reunion in the off-season. The location is walkable to the Falls. The house was reasonably comfortable and we were happy to bring along our dog. There were a few issues that should be noted :
Though there were beds to adequately sleep our party of 8, there was not table space for a meal together. Renting a house, we expected to be able to eat meals together at the place, so this was disappointing, especially for Thanksgiving.
Furniture is pretty worn, and in need of replacement, especially the couch. Also, although there is a sign noting this, the steps to the 2nd floor are not even and there is no bathroom on that floor. We did have one person fall coming down to the bathroom during the night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but delayed our review waiting on the return of our security deposit which we had to ultimately request at the 30-day mark. This house would better accommodate a smaller party if you wish to use the kitchen table. We enjoyed our stay despite the noted issues. Thanks
I had the opportunity to stay at this home with our baseball team. It was perfect for couples and singles! Beds were extremely comfortable and the place was spotless. The house was very spacious with enough room to sit outside to enjoy games and a BBQ!
The AC felt wonderful and the showers/hot water ran strong all weekend! I would recomend this house to a family or large group looking to tour downtown Niagara!
Customer service has been very smooth as well, everyone has been very kind and extremely fast to respond to emails!
Thanks again for everything - perhaps we'll see you next year!
The out side needs some love not a very good first impression not having lawn not mowed and weeds taller then the flowers. But the hole thing in general was great . Oh and the cable for the tv did not come in very well.
My recent stay at Crown Jewel 3 on August 04-08. We arrived on the 9th at about 9pm. We were suppose to come on the 8th no fault of there's. We walked through the house after we had brought all the luggage in and watched TV talked and ate pizza. The house was beautiful no complaints there.
We were going to be and my MOM asked for my 12 yr old daughter to get a blanket from down stairs in the room that was thicker then she had upstairs. My came running up the stairs and slammed the door in our room screaming there's a bat in the house. She said the bat was flying around in circles in the double room down stairs. Then I heard everybody in the house screaming. My friend was trying to leave her room to use the bathroom and when she opened the door the bat flew past her door toward our door again trying to get in. Everyone was being chased and no one could leave there room.
I called the emergency number but because of all he screaming I didn't hear some numbers correctly. In the morning I called again and got through and immediately when I spoke with Mike Adams who is the owner said well can't you open the door or window and let it out I said no everybody's afraid of it.. I then said I didn't come here to swat bats were here to vacation. He became defensive saying " Well there's nothing wrong with the structure of the house and you just have to be patient and give us a chance to get the bat out"
I then called back to tell him that the hot water wasn't on and we had to take cold showers and stood on the side of the shower to was and my friend was inthe shower and the water just stopped running. I asked him when was the exterminators coming. He said they'd be out soon. They came and couldn't find the Bat as they are nocturnal and she said to call her back tonight when its dark.
She also said what ever you do don't let it spit on you.
SPIT on you I thought what's in the spit. Well I didn't have internet access until we returned to America. Well the BAT SPIT is acidic 5.5 If they SPT on you it will burn you through your skin and bones in your blood stream and everything it touched. But that's not all The spit has a blood thinning agent in it. WOW that's so powerful the medical field is trying to find a way to replace TPA with BAT SPIT.
Now I'm a Registered Nurse TPA is used to treat stroke victims and is a clot buster. If have an aneurysm in your brain or your chest you will bleed out and die instantly. If you just had surgery and it spit
The house sleeps 8 adults and 4 children comfortably. We loved that it is 5 min walk from the falls. The immediate neighborhood is not the greatest but just around the corner you are on fallsview ave. The basement is newly remodeled and very nice.
Cons: dining area only seat 4
You have to bring your own toilet paper/soap per contract which was ridiculous, but i didnt want our deposit taken for such trivial thing.
A note on premises indicates we put a load of white towels in washer before we leave. Also ridiculous, buy we did.
The stairs going upstairs change in size as you go down which is very dangerous. Had a few of us tripping multiple times. There is a note hung on top of steps, but they should be changed.
Outstanding natural walking, cycling, bird watching, running paths. Ask about our local wildlife sanctuaries. Outdoor events, attractions, festivals are year round. Award winning wineries and fantastic outlet shopping. There's plenty to see and do and leave you wanting to come back for more.
