One word for this place... (ok... maybe 3 or 4): Hip, Best Location, True New Orleans Living. It is perfection!

Let's take one thing at a time.

Hip: We decorated this condo for maximum comfort and feeling like you are in a bright, beautiful and welcoming home. Lots of local art and comfortable furniture to hang out on. Make yourself a cocktail in front or grill some fresh fish from the Big Fisherman (right there on Magazine) with a cold beer or daiquiri in back. This place is designed for hanging out and feeling like a local.

Best Location: There is no better location in New Orleans. It is quiet and historic, but with everything you need at your fingertips. Watch the parades and walk back to use the bathroom or chill out. Wander through the shops and eat your way through town without needing a cab or a car. This is the Irish Channel... a historical and eclectic neighborhood with all the funk you need within a few blocks. Plenty of parking in front.

True New Orleans Living: Whether you just want to hang out in the condo and read or go listen to brass bands til 3AM, this condo lets you do it all. Your neighbors all live and work in New Orleans and there are very few tourists around. You can truly feel and live like a local.

Note... this area of town is on high ground was not flooded!

About The Owner

My husband and I have owned this place since 2005. We renovated the condos and sold them off, keeping one for ourselves as a getaway from grown-up-land. We are excited to share it with you!

Why The Owner chose Central City/Garden District

This is our favorite part of New Orleans. It is quiet, eclectic, historic and near everything we love. Walk to the parades or chill out at one of the bars only a few short blocks away.

What makes this condo unique

You will feel like a real local. Stuff yourself in one of the incredible restaurants and stagger home for a nice nap in the air conditioning. No matter what time of year, something fun is always happening in New Orleans!

OK. We LOVED this place. It is beautiful. Wood floors, old world feeling, very hip. Magazine street is amazing and right there. We found the kitchen totally fine and great. The back patio is funky and fun and cozy and private. Yay! Definitely coming back.

Perfect location, has everything you need

We rented this perfect little place for a convention at the convention center. It was just about 5 minutes away from the center with a Walmart in between. Very close to all the fun in New Orleans but away from all the noise and crowds. We enjoyed hanging out on the quiet patio in the back. If you are going to New Orleans, definitely check this property out!! It was very clean and had anything you could possibly need on a get-away waiting for you.

Amazing!

This house is so cute with a lot of charm. The neighborhood is very quiet and easy to find. Everything we could possibly need for our stay was in the home and the patio was nice to have morning coffee on. Jen was very helpful with our stay and even recommended some really good restaurants in the area, she was very easy to get ahold of when we did have questions. The only con I would say about this place is the bed was really uncomfortable, I would recommend getting a better mattress for the bedroom.

Clean, cool, and excellent location!

Two of us stayed here for a weekend. The location is awesome, just a quick walk to Magazine and sooo many restaurants and shops! The place is clean and well kept, nice and airy. Was stocked with all we needed. Outdoor seating is nice! I love staying in this area and/or the Garden District when visiting New Orleans. We took Uber to and from the Quarter ($7-8). Just FYI, the front steps can be tricky when trying to carry bags in and out. Parking was fine but just want to put out there that it is two sided street parking.

Wonderfully cute and perfectly located home

This place was a perfect find for our vacation in NoLa. Very clean inside with full laundry utilities and cooking utensils.

Location was perfect, about 5min walk to the 11 bus or about 10min walk to St. Charles Ave for the street car for easy traveling to the French quarter. Within 20mins walk of the property there are a plethora of places to shop, eat, and drink along Magazine St.

Could not fault anything here, would recommend and will certainly be staying here when I return to NoLa!!!

Great owner - so responsive when we left our IPad!

We loved staying here with our two little ones. The location is close to everything (Audubon Zoo to the west, French Quarter to the east), parking a cinch - there was always a spot in front. There is an inflatable twin mattress too. We left our IPad behind and Jenny was so kind in mailing it back to us very quickly. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for the hospitality!

The best!

We've travelled with HomeAway quite a bit. With that has been interactions with owners and stays in varied homes and states, and we've had nothing but positive experiences. Our stay here, with this owner, is the capstone reason for using HomeAway.

We had an issue, and the owner was possibly the most responsive, concerned, and helpful owner on HomeAway. I honestly cannot say enough. People like this are the reason that this service, and community, are able to exist, and our staying here is an absolute testament to supporting the wonderful people that make this service possible.

Beyond that, the home itself was all we could hope for. The location is perfect for a local, ingrained experience. It's just a few blocks off a great spot on Magazine, near a local grocery, and centrally located with amazingly quick access to good, major streets. Any area in Uptown, the Garden District, Central Business District, and French Quarter is easily accessible. The neighborhood is safe, whisper quiet, and on a street with very little traffic. We visit New Orleans annually; this home easy has the best parking we've had.

The home itself is deceptively spacious and well-planned. The decor and feel are authentic. Backyard is wonderfully private, shaded, and perfect for kids. The home is also extremely travel-friendly. Amenities for cooking, washing clothes, a heavily stocked bathroom, and small touches like a toolkit are priceless when you need them. And also demonstrate the care an owner has for their property, and those who stay there.

For a plethora of reasons, stay here.

Car: not necessary

This darling condo in a over 100 year old creole cottage (former slaves quarters) has everything you need to stay comfortable for as long as you want. Washer/dryer, wifi, private patio/courtyard with a barbecue... Walk only two blocks to the grocery store and the best restaurants and bars and shopping in town. Walk to Mardi Gras parades, the street car and even the Zoo.
