Great weekend away!

  • 4 of 5

The Kegelman's house was exactly as described. It had a such a "campy" feel and the interior had plenty of space for 5 people. The queen beds were very comfortable, the twins were average, and the futon is a futon (not so great). There is a tiny loft with a bed that you can access by climbing a ladder but no-one in my group was brave enough to do it. The kitchen was great and the couches in the living room were very nice. The outdoor area suited our needs and the hot tub was large and worked perfectly. One complaint was that the grill knobs were broken so we had to use pliers to get it to start. Plus, the people before us did not clean it. Another negative was that the beach chairs were all broken so we lugged 2 very heavy folding chairs to the lake. The Kegelman's were very responsive and I'm sure they will fix / replace them. We drove to the lake beach called "south beach" and had an amazing day floating on rafts. The people were so nice, one gentleman let us use his paddle boards and kayaks. I would stay there again, we had a great weekend!

Cozy home in the woods

  • 4 of 5

It was perfect for our summer weekend getaway with the kids. The home was spacious for 6. The rooms were a good size and 2 bathrooms were perfect for our needs. We loved the hot tub! Having laundry was a big plus with kids and enabled us to wash/dry the

towels we brought from home for reuse and bring home some clean clothes. The only criticism I'd have would be the condition of the only large fry pan and the bed quilts. We were advised to bring our own sheets which we did. The quilts that were on beds could use a refresh. The one large fry pan was pretty worn again even an inexpensive new one or two would be a welcome addition. Otherwise, this house was great. The community pool was a hit with the kids and as I mentioned previously the adults loved the hot tub. Definitely worth the price for a nice getaway in PA mountains. Thank you!

We enjoyed everything about this house, community and town!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at the Kegelman's Log Home. It is such a cozy, adorable cabin. Plenty of space for 5 people to move around in. We took advantage of the fire pit, deck, long driveway (for games like bocce ball and corn hole) and the hot tub. We grilled out almost every night. Our family kayaked, used the pool and walked the community each day. We even drove down to Jim Thorpe one afternoon - it was a quick and easy drive. And, we went to Scoops' Ice Cream shoppe - in walking distance from the house. I wouldn't be surprised if we make our way back to this home for a third time!

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay at this home for a long weekend in April with 5 people. The house is very well-equipped and we enjoyed every single minute. Giant hot tub on the deck, fire pit, kayaks, canoe - just loved this place and would highly recommend. Close to Jim Thorpe as well as both Lehigh Gorge and Hickory Run State Parks. Nice lake for watersports within the community. House backs up to open space for a variety of activities. Owners are extremely responsive and could not be any nicer. I would definitely return!

Very nice rustic cabin with all of the amenities.

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed there Thurs thru Sunday. Nice quiet setting. Was close enough for skiing Blue Mtn and just a little over an hour drive to Elk Mountain. Enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and the fire pit also. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Would like to stay there again in the summer to see what the lake is like!
