About Lisa Goynes
We bought the property 9 years ago, and have built everything on the property ourselves. We decided to open up our wonderful abode to others to let them enjoy it as much as we do.
Why Lisa Goynes chose Alpine
After our first VRBO dwelling did so well, I decided to open another one. Since we enjoy building so much, we decided to build another guesthouse here on our property. We hope that you enjoy staying in it as much as we enjoyed building it.

Fabulous stay in Alpine
This is the best place to stay. It is beyond words. I will be back.
Spectacular Fourth of July
The perfect place for us. The property is beautiful, the rooms spotless and the hosts accommodating in every way.
The property was amazing and the owner was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend staying here.
What a great place
Lovely, well planned and cared for. Near town with benefits of country living. Thank you so much for having us.
Awesome place just out of town.
Awesome property. Nice views of the mountains as you loom across the highway. Farm type setting. Loved it...
This place has it all, every thing you need! And it was super clean and comfortable. There was not on thing I would change about our stay there, except leaving. ;) The farm animals were a sweet touch! My husband calls me Ace Ventura, and so of course I felt right at home. We are planning our next stay already.
Located on the Fort Davis Hwy., we are just minutes away from downtown Alpine, Sul Ross University, restaurants, and shopping, including boutique art galleries and gift shops. Alpine is the gateway to Big Bend National Park, along with historic mining towns such as Terlingua(famous for its annual Chili Cookoff) and the bordertown of Lajitas with its championship golf course. To the west of Alpine is Marfa, filled with many historic buildings and a growing art community. In between Alpine and Marfa is the famous Marfa Lights visitors' center. North on the Fort Davis Hwy., along the Texas Mountain Trail, is the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, which features native plants of the Chihuahuan Desert located in a gorgeous canyon setting. Further down the road is the historic town of Fort Davis, just 20 minutes from us. While there, you can explore the actual Fort Davis, which is a National Historic Site. Fort Davis is filled with charming shops and restaurants that add to its Western flair. A little further up the road is the McDonald Observatory, where you can attend their famous Star Parties, or just take a tour. The Fort Davis Highway is used by both bicyclists and motorcyclists as a year-round scenic ride. There are so many activities to enjoy in this area, and we are located right in the heart of it all.
