Things to do in Bar Harbor: For the culturally inclined, Bar Harbor offers two celebrated music festivals offering everything from string orchestras, through chamber music, to jazz. As for Bar Harbor nightlife, bars and clubs host a range of bands and solo artists that complete the musical mix. Movies have never seemed more enjoyable than when seen in our art-deco theater, and the scope of Bar Harbor's museums belie the small size of the town. Here you can learn about Bar Harbor's 'Gilded Age', the island's Native American heritage, the Gulf of Maine's unique ecosystems and species, our town's award winning microbrews, and the natural wonder of Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor shopping is another relaxing pastime, if you'd like some mementos with which to remember your trip or need any clothing, accessories, or crafts. It is also worth noting that Bar Harbor is home to the USA's eighth oldest golf course (Kebo Valley Golf Club) which wraps itself between the mountains and the shore.
This property is in a prime location in downtown Bar Harbor, but quiet. Beautiful condo, well furnished, a great place to stay. We very much enjoyed our trip and highly recommend this property
Great condo in a location that is fantastic in Bar Harbor. The condo was very clean and comfortable with a nice deck in the back. The greatest feature of the property is the location to downtown. You can walk to everything. Traffic in the harbor can be tedious so to be able to walk to all the restaurants and the port is a definite plus. The property was well equipped with a dishwasher and washer and dryer and the condo itself is very well maintained. The price of the property is the same we would have paid for a hotel room in Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful week in Bar Harbor. The condo was so comfortable and cozy. It has 3 bedrooms with the master suite and large bathroom located on the top level which offers privacy and a quiet refuge for the adults. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully remodeled. The condo was so clean and well cared for. It felt like home to our family.
There is also lovely private deck located off the kitchen.
We loved the location of the condo because you can walk to main street and all of the attractions in the town in just a couple of minutes.
There are also free shuttles that you can catch in town that will take you into Acadia.
We would recommend the this condo to anyone planning on vacationing in Bar Harbor. It truly was wonderful.

This was our first time taking our two kids (ages 3 and 6) away for a week, and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. This place is absolutely charming, clean, well laid-out and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. Our kids slept wonderfully and we were able to do all the things we wanted (biking, hiking, swimming, wandering around Bar Harbor and exploring everything the park and Bar Harbor had to offer), knowing we had a great home-base to come back to. Highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return!
The owners were available for questions and calls. We did not spend much time other than to sleep at the townhome. We spent the days running and walked around Bar Harbor in the evening. I could not get good reception in the master bedroom for t.v., never addressed with the owner as I was exhausted by the end of the day and didn't miss it much. The first floor level television worked just fine. The owners provided loads of information for the area which was helpful for newbie's. I would highly recommend a visit to Bar Harbor and you have a nice place to stay.
The pictures don't do this house justice. It's a really more amazing in person. The home has plenty of room for our group of 3 and each bedroom was well taken care of. The house was emaculate and clearly well taken care of. The bedroom upstairs (loft) was the fan favorite. It's like a retreat in and of itself. The great thing about this house is that you can come together in the living room when you want "together" time or separate nicely into the different bedrooms for some quiet time. The bedrooms are pretty sound proof and we couldn't hear tv's and such from the other bedrooms. Showers, appliances and faucets are all nicely upgraded, beds are comfy and the place is spotless.
The wifi, if you have to work like I did while I was there, is a private secure connection. Internet speed was fast and held, without Interruption for a 2 hour video conference call, I had. No sharing wifi channels with neighbors, etc... I could easily have brought my family and my techno kids could have streamed videos on that connection anytime of the day. Not that I would recommend that, but if you have a "plugged in" family, don't worry about the wifi in this house.
Location is awesome. You can walk everywhere from here and even though we rented a car, we only used it to get into the national park. It's a perfect walk to lunch, dinner and shopping. Oh, I forgot to mention a great back porch that's we spent time on in the evening.
We have already made this our preferred house and can't wait to come back for another visit!
For both the novice and experienced cyclist, biking in Acadia National Park opportunities abound along the 55 miles of carriage trails that lace through it. Bike beside crystal lakes and rose-colored mountains and you might even begin to feel like a kid again, when the bike was your only vehicle and you could pedal forever. For a different view, hop a bus or trolley tour and let someone else worry about driving for an hour or two.. Alternatively, strap on a harness and let one of our guiding companies show you the best spots to learn or polish your climbing; you will see the island from a whole new angle! On the water, paddle a canoe or kayak either on your own or in the company of Maine camping guides and explore Mount Desert Island's fascinating coastline, or set sail with one of the professional crews in search of whales, seals, seabirds, the stories of the cottage era, or some R & R under billowing sails. Awesome hiking trails throughout the island or enjoy Kebo Valley Golf Club.
Other Activities: hiking, whale watching, kayaking, canoeing, harbor tours, explore national park
