5 bedrooms including three doubles suitable for adults. The two top bedrooms have 5 beds including 2 double beds and 3 singles. These rooms are ideal for children. There is a bathroom ensuite to one of the rooms. There is another ensuite bathroom, 1 ensuite shower and a separate shower room. There is a loo and sink in another of the double bedrooms.

A wonderful stay in a charming house!
What a truly wonderful stay at le mas tombray! The house is beautifully appointed (we thought the children's rooms particularly lovely) and extremely well-equipped.
Obviously the pool was a huge hit with the children (and us) and we spent some gloriously sunny afternoons lounging by the pool whilst the children played.
We visited the famous Sunday market San Antonin Noble Val which was very impressive and returned again on another day when it was quieter so we could take in the full beauty of the town. We also visited Penne and Bruniquel which were both spectacular and well worth the drive!!
Thank you so much for letting us stay and for being a fantastic host. The fact that you were so quick to reply by email and phoned us when we got here was great.
We've stayed in numerous properties in france and can honestly say this is one of the best! We only wished we could have stayed longer.
Great holiday in a lovely house
Just returned from a delightful 2 week stay at Mas de Tambay. It is a beautiful old house full of character which has been very tastefully restored. A true home from home with all the facilities necessary for a comfortable stay. Excellent weather meant that the swimming pool was put to good use by all. There were plenty of sun or shade options for sitting and reading a book in the very tranquil garden. The views of the chateau form a perfect backdrop for meals outside. Lots of interesting places to visit in the surrounding area and we had some great days out.

Fabulous family holiday house
We spent a glorious week in Mas de Tambay and found it very hard packing our bags to leave. The house has been tastefully restored and has all the creature comforts one wants - including a tea pot and stacks of pillows. It is also incredibly well equipped and things are easy to find; including a pair of tweezers when one of my children acquired a splinter. It is clearly a family home that is being rented and not a house that was bought to be rented.
We enjoyed spending time in the house and by the pool and exploring the surrounding area by car and bike (there was a collection of working bikes of various sizes and vintages). David also arranged for us to have access to two canoes and we had great fun canoeing down the Aveyron. David is an incredibly responsive and attentive owner -- and even texted us information on local festivals that would be going on in the area when we were there.
In short ... the family is asking if we can go back again and should we find ourselves heading down to that part of France again I will definitely be booking the house again. It's a great base for exploring a fascinating and beautiful part of France.
Beautifully converted farmhouse
We had a wonderful week-long stay in this converted farmhouse. The conversion has been beautifully done with great attention to detail. I imagine the owners have done it with the aim of living there themselves rather than as a quick conversion for rental. The furniture and appliances are all of high quality and there is plenty of room. The setting is gorgeous with a swimming pool and a nice view of the nearby castle. The owners were helpful in responding to questions beforehand and the property certainly lived up to expectations.
Beautiful farmhouse in the French countryside.
My family and I travelled from Australia, and stayed at this picturesque gem in September last year. The property was one of the highlights of our stay on our European getaway.
The exquisite restored farmhouse was very comfortable for my large family with plenty of local sites and activities to see/do. David was very helpful both in getting our stay organised and in providing a huge amount of information about the beautiful local restaurants and attractions. September is a great time of year to do the French countryside with it being 30 degrees everyday, the pool was a more than welcome addition, with the kids spending hours in it. Will hopefully be back one day as its truly a special place.
Authentic, relaxing, stunning countryside location
I have now stayed at Mas De Tambay on three separate occasions, with every stay being as good as the last. I am looking to go back with my family next year.
The house is beautifully set in the rolling french countryside with picturesque views of the local chateax on the hill. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep and some great places to visit a short car ride away, the market at Villefranche de Rougerie comes highly recommended.
The house itself has been tastefully restored to a high standard and everything works well. A full range of appliances for cooking and cleaning. The bathrooms were put to the test with hot showers for 15 people consecutively, no problem!
There are some great areas to socialise in bigger groups, especially outside by the pool and around the dinner table, but there are also some great spots to relax with a book or take a nap.
This house has soul and is somewhere one can truly relax.
Surrounded by a host of Bastide towns, Cordes sur Ceil and St.Cirq-la-Popie to name but two. Fine restaurants and Auberges nearby and in the local villages. An abundance of beautiful Market Towns the most famous being St.Antonin notorious for its Sunday market. The river Aveyron runs through where our three canoes are kept and are available for hire. A 17 kilometre canoe down river is possible. Bike rides,horse riding and tennis(we have the key to the court in Limogne) are all available. If one requires culture, Toulouse, Cahors and Montauban are all a short drive away. Wild life is everywhere, Wild Boar, red squirrels, deer, Kingfishers. If you are a motorcyclist or enjoy driving the roads are paradise.3 hours to the Mediterranean across some of the finest roads in France or 4 hours to Biarritz and the Atlantic coast which is a surfer’s paradise. Two and a half hours takes you to Andorra and skiing in the winter. Other Activities: Canoeing

Change over day will be Saturday. Leave by 10.00 arrivals after 16.30 Deposit to be paid as soon as booking is made to be refunded two weeks after departure. Full payment to be paid two months before arrival date. Please call for applicable rates outside of listed dates. House is available throughout winter months at a negotiable price which would include oil and heating bills.
