In fact, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy less than 5 miles from the Lodge: free historical museum, local artisan shops, hiking, rock hunting, fishing and more.
But why even leave the Lodge! Your guest will enjoy the 3.5 miles of private hiking, digging for rare minerals on site, hunting for Native American modified trees, feeding wood into one of the many outdoor fireplaces, or soaking in one of the hot tubs. Perhaps whacking some golf balls from the golf tee would be fun for them, or playing horseshoes, ladder ball or corn hole. There are plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities right on the property.
If you book for the week, you may use the barn multiple times at no additional cost. Host a welcome party/ice breaker on day 1, a family movie/game night later in the week, and have both your rehearsal and ceremony/reception in the barn. There are many lovely spots outside for your ceremony as well.
We are very flexible and want your special day to be all you hope it will be. If you chose us, great! If not, we still wish you much joy and success as you move forward. Please give us a call so we can begin helping you make your wedding the Rustic Colorado Adventure you hope it will be.

We always discussed the possibility of entering the lodging business and in 2010 decided to go for it. We have had a wonderful time sharing the lodge and meeting wonderful people from all over the world. We would enjoy hosting you during your Colorado adventure.
Toni is a chemist, teacher, and artist. She enjoys making the Lodge look special and is always available to assist you with you stay.
Don is financial services consultant and the general handy man for the Lodge.
Both Toni and Don are marathon runners, skiers, and cyclists. Their goal is to ensure that your time at Tihsreed is memorable and that you will want to return.
Toni and Donald Moore purchased this lodge in 2006
Tihsreed is a truly magical place. We are sited in the center of the state so you have just a short drive to the best Colorado has to offer and if you choose to stay put, we have plenty of fun for you on site: a golf tee, hiking trails, hot tub, dvds, fireplaces, wildlife and much more.
We are built on the historic Ute Native American vision quest trail. Many of our trees were culturally modified over hundreds of years by the Ute warriors as they made prayers, held ceremonies and completed their vision quests. When you visit, we believe you will agree that our property feels holy.
Tihsreed Lodge is decorated with fun and whimsical items, all for sale. There are games, collectibles, antiques and tchotchke that you will enjoy viewing. Many guests choose to purchase items to take home as mementos of their Colorado vacation.
We are located at 9000 feet above sea level, so a hike on the property will give you an extra effort work out. There are swings along the path and many deer live on the property. The views of Pikes Peak and the Collegiate Mountains are beautiful.
It is uncommon to find a spot so private, yet with so much space. Large groups can enjoy the time together, yet have room for private time to reflect. There is something magical about being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday and having time to really build relationships.
Our guests leave with a real Colorado experience. They have had wonderful mountain air, water and views. Guest leave with a Rocky Mountain high in their head and their hearts.
Our family had a wonderful and memorable vacation at Tihsreed. The home is beautiful, very clean, spacious and well appointed. Our family of seven was extremely pleased with the seclusion and privacy the home offers. We will return. Don, you are the best.
Very Clean and well maintained property. Great Location. Beautiful Lodge. Was up there for a wedding, so didn't see any other attractions but did enjoy sitting out on the deck and enjoyed the views. Very peaceful. My only complaint would be not very well marked to get to the place. Signs are small and when arriving at night hard to see and not much cell service. They do have a Tihsreed spelled out big on the side with rocks but that is when you are about to the lodge, but don't let this stop you from going. Hope to go back some day.
TihsreeD Lodge was absolutely stunning in all aspects. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the view was one of the prettiest I've ever seen (of pikes peak). If I had the ability to go back there I would in a heart beat especially since the owners were very nice and cooperative. I'm not used to having to take my shoes off in every building before entering but it turned out okay since we realized with the gravel roads it tracked a lot of dirt in. The wedding was beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you enjoy hiking they have a lot of trails but if you like relaxing they also have multiple hot tubs. Very accommodating for everyone!
The Lodge is spectacular, the view is breathe taking, the layout is spacious, clean, up to date and well maintained and perfect for a large group of 16 people. The owners were easy to reach when our coffee machine went out and they delivered a new one within an hour of contacting them and provided superior customer service. There are so many attractions to visit near this property, we were only able to see a few listed below.
Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings, Fossil Beds National Monument Park, Garden of the Gods, 11 Mile State Park, Pikes Peak, Whitewater rafting with River Runners at Brown Canyon in Buena Vista, and The Thunderbird Restaurant. The Lodge is centrally located and easy to get to. We would recommend this property to others and would consider revisiting ourselves. Thanks for a great week of memories and a marvelous vacation.
In October of 2014, my family, along with 6 other families, stayed at Tihsreed lodge in Florissant, CO. We booked Tihsreed because of its proximity to Colorado Springs (where we all live) and the fact that it could accommodate a large group, like us, comfortably.
Don and Toni were great to work with! The reservation process was smooth and when we showed up, Don was there to great us and give us a run down of the house and amenities! Since they live nearby on the property, they were easily accessible, but gave us space to enjoy the weekend!
The house has everything you need to relax, have fun and cook. We would definitely stay here again!
Thanks for sharing Tihsreed with us, Don and Toni,
Pictures can not describe this fantastic place. It was far beyond what we could have ever imagined. It was a Leap Year Birthday party for me and a Leap Year Anniversary party for my husband and me! Yes, born and married on the 29th Day of February. We were delighted to be able to host a party of 35 in the Lodge, also renting the cabin as a back up for the overnighters!
Don and Toni are amazing....funny, inspirational, informative, accommodating...nothing was missed in the details. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Hiking, swinging, visiting the Florissant Fossil Bed National Monument, Garden of the Gods....and just star gazing in the hot tub, or talking around the stone fire pit made out four day event the best vacation we have had in years. I highly recommend this location for reunions, weddings, or just to get away and enjoy the view of Pike Peak to refresh your soul. This place is truly magical!
Attended family member wedding, what an amazing place with an even better view. All the amenities of home and more. Staff was polite and helpful. Spacious home that had so many different things to offer and entertain. I would visit again in a heartbeat.
