Should I stay or should I go (exploring)?

  • 4 of 5

A very pleasant stay in a genteel neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Nimes, convenient for exploring the city or venturing a little further afield to the bustling market town of Uzes, canoeing under the Pont du Gard or heading South to visit the Med, which is under an hour away. Should you try the later, visit the lovely fishing port of Sete, which we did during the Festival of Saint Louis, an ancient water jousting carnival, when the town is teaming with local colour and live music, and the abundance of good seafood restaurants are packed to the rafters with a great atmosphere.

The villa itself is extremely well-equipped with multiple terraces for sunbathing within private and secure grounds. There is a clean and generously sized swimming pool, the side of which we were often loathe to leave, as we basked in the sun under the intermittent shade of the tall pines.

A helpful friend of the owner lives opposite; helpful but not intrusive. All in all a great place to stay, or from which to go exploring.

well presented House with excellent pool

  • 5 of 5

Very convenient for Nimes centre (5 minutes by car) yet close to the motorway giving access to the coast. Well furnished and clean. Lots of different areas around the house to relax and sunbathe. Large pool. Regarding Beaches we found the beach at La Grande Travers to be the best. Our two 17year olds were very pleased to see the Black Keys perform at the Arenes which often has well known artists performing there. Canoeing was requested - we used one of the many companies this one based in Collias. Whilst the rest of the party paddled off to the Pont Du Gard my wife and I had lunch at the Hostellerie Le Castellar I only mention this because the food was outstanding, if you're in the vicinity it comes highly recommended. Finally Helene the lady that looks after the property was extremely helpful and a great asset to the owner.

Fabulous Villa in Extremely private surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous Villa in Extremely private surroundings, finished to a very high quality with anll comforts”

From the minute you enter through the Electric gates through the short Avenue this villa is a haven of peace and tranquility.

We are a family of 5 who spent a fabulous week here in April . The house had everything we needed in particular we loved the kitchen and all it had to offer . We looked forward

to coming home from the wonderful daily market in Nimes to cook dinner and relax every evening. It was "Home from Home" for the week .

The Villa was a great base from which to see many of the beautiful towns in the area eg Uzès, Sommières, Arles, Avignon, The beach @La grau da roi...

The owners were great to advise on what to do in advance of our trip and Helena & Claude across the road (caretakers) were a fantastic source of information throughout the week .

We will definitely return in the future..

Magnifique !!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent a wonderful week here this past January. The villa itself is terrific - the interior has been tastefully modernized to include every amenity while still maintaining the charm and “bones” of the original villa. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living room are all lovely, and our teenagers especially appreciated having the internet. The living room with its floor to ceiling windows was especially delightful. Situated on a hillside, it offers nice views of the neighborhood from the living room and outdoor patios. A great patisserie awaits you at the bottom of the hill. The villa’s location is perfect - situated in a quaint and quiet neighborhood, you had the feel of being out in the country while being just minutes from the center of Nimes, which is a fascinating city with ample history, shopping and restaurants to choose from. We spent three full days in the city and wish we had more time. The villa is also a great hub for day trips to any of the numerous interesting and worthwhile towns and villages in the area, you can go in virtually any direction and you won’t be disappointed. We especially enjoyed Avignon, the Pont du Gard, and Uzes. Our only disappointment was not having more time, but that gives us a compelling reason to come back!

Wonderful visit

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful visit in Nimes. This villa was well appointed, comfortable and well located. Our party was comprised of 3 adults and an 8 year old and everyone enjoyed themselves. The house was located in a quiet neighborhood a 5 minute walk from the most delicious patisserie where we got breakfast every morning. The on site contact was incredibly helpful in getting us situated and making suggestions for activities and shopping. The owner was always quick to respond to any email throughout the rental process and followed up to make sure that the stay was all we had hoped for. The Les Halles daily indoor market is something not to be missed and is where we purchased most of the food for our dinners. We made day trips to the surrounding areas including Avignon, Les Baux, Aigues Mortes, Gordes, Roussilon, the seaquarium and many others. As the only entry to the villa is up a flight of stairs I would not suggest it to those with difficulty walking otherwise we would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone wanting a place to escape and relax.

Excellent holiday in this wonderful villa

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Les Trois Soeurs.

Its located in a very quiet and nice part of Nimes. The Villa is private and is a fantastic touring base.

We made visits to Avignon, Aix-on-Provence, St, Remy. There is also a very good French market in nearby Uzes every Saturday.

Nimes itself is a very interesting Roman City and only 10 min from the Villa. We did enjoy some nice restaurants and there was plenty of activity in the centre ville.

The villa itself had everything we needed and is very clean and well furnished. We spent many evenings enjoying the sun set on the terrace with some nice local wine. Another highlight was the morning trip to the local Patisserie to collect the delicious crossants and fresh bagette. Viva la vie en rose!
