About David Silvasi
Lifetime Chicago resident with a passion for the city and its neighborhoods, and creating unique living spaces.
David Silvasi purchased this Apartment in 2004
Why David Silvasi chose Edgewater
I purchased the property in 2004 because of its Victorian greystone architecture and its proximity to my favorite neighborhood, with a vision for preserving its character while modernizing it. Vacation unit is entirely new construction. All of my rehab projects have specifications for layout and finishes befitting an owner's unit.

Comfortable apartment in a quiet, classy neighborhood!
Good location with restaurants, breakfast spots, supermarket, pharmacy, second-hand stores very close by. Doable walk to the subway. Minimal walk to the bus stop.
David is an attentive, responsive host.
Great property and location. Well stocked and everything was exactly as described in the listing. Would stay there again.
Awesome Location! Cute Place!
David was super responsive! The place was super close to amazing restaurants we could just walk!
The bed and furniture were super uncomfortable. We could not wait to sleep in our own bed. You can hear every step the people upstairs took, including their pup! I would say if David invested in a better bed this spot would be rated a 10, but due to sleepless nights I only have a 3.
I'm so sorry the bed wasn't comfortable for you, we use it all the time and none of our other guests have expressed concern. Was it too firm?
Made a great mutual meeting place for family for Loyola graduate.
Location was perfect as we ubered around when needed but anything we needed was within walking distance.Property was so well stocked it had everything we needed. Was not sure about check out time ready to evacuate by noon but had late afternoon flight and when they showed up to clean,I told her to come on in and clean and she said no she would come back which was helpful to me.Beds were not comfortable but place was clean and quaint.
The apartment is clean and has everything you need for your stay.
The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe even when we walked home at night.
The owner was very responsive and kind in response to my inquiries.
One block from the closest bus stop. 10 minute walk from Red Line, so you can get anywhere you need to go.
Small things that did not detract from my enjoyment of our stay:
You can hear the upstairs neighbor walking and sometimes radio/TV. This happened during normal awake hours so it was not a problem.
No dresser. My sister prefers to put her clothes in drawers, but there was plenty of closet space and hangars.
Several kitchen drawers were very hard to open/close. We ended up not doing any cooking, so it was not a big issue.
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We loved the location, close to transit and shopping and eateries in Andersonville and on street parking was always available. The apartment is spacious, the kitchen is amazing and the bed comfortable. It was clean and we loved the decor. Loved the one and half baths! We will try to stay here whenever we are visiting our kids in Chicago.
