Luxury, Ground Floor, 2 bedroom (sleeps 5) Apartment with FREE WIFI. Located in a small, private gated condominium with very large communal pool in fabulous landscaped grounds within the Vilamoura Resort. Located just outside the resort centre about 15 minutes walk (3 minutes drive) to the award winning golden sands of Faleisia beach and the Restaurants/Bars/Shops of the Marina. Local amenities of Supermarket/Restaurants/Bar/Cafe's are within 5 minutes walk.

Spacious accommodation; 2 large bedrooms with Air-Con & ample hanging/drawer wardrobe storage. 2 modern bathrooms, 1 en-suite with Jacuzzi spa bath. Luxury fitted kitchen (Dishwasher/Washing machine/Microwave/Fridge Freezer etc). Very large living/dining room, , storage, sofa with 2 integrated chaise longues, dining table. English TV (Standard Free View Channels, BBC 1,2,3, ITV1,2,3,Channel 4, etc..., and Free WIFI is include. Also Radio/CD player.

Large private terrace with own private grassed garden area (gets sun from 11am until 6pm) 4 loungers for exclusive use, table and 6 chairs, BBQ, enclosed by a 1.5m hedge for added privacy. Benefit of direct access to the large fabulous swimming pool with children's pool, sundeck, landscaped garden area with additional sun loungers/sun shades quickly accessed from the private garden down 3 steps. Children's play area located within gardens away from pool.

Linen Change & Local Contact: We employ an English speaking manager for the apartment who arranges the cleaning and will act as your first point of contact to deal locally with any queries/questions/concerns you may have during your stay at the apartment.

Cleaning and linen change is once per week.

Ground Floor Benefits: The apartment is located in one of the two blocks overlooking the communal pool. Being a ground floor apartment means that there is the benefit of quick access to the pool and the sun deck which means that if you need to use the facilities of the apartment (Toilet/kitchen/ fresh towel supplies/cold drinks etc..) it is a few steps back there with no stairs or elevators to have to navigate.

Access to shops and facilities: The apartment is located conveniently for both the facilities of Vilamoura centre as well as the local facilities.

There is a supermarket, restaurants/bars and a cafe within 3 minutes walk which are the local facilities, you can get most things from that supermarket and fresh pastries etc.. from the cafe, Parky's bar shows all the live sport for sports fans on large screens.

The Marina is a 15 minute walk away (3 mins by car/taxi) with a wide variety of restaurants/shops/bars and also watersports. The award winning Falesia beach is also about a 15 minute walk or again 3 mins by car. There is also a land train that runs at the end of the road to the beach and Marina during the day and early evening, the timetable varies by season so you need to check at the tourist information where Parky's bar is for exact times.

Great apartment in lovely location

The apartment is lovely and has all of the comforts you need. The grounds and pool are immaculate. Vilamoura itself is beautiful although nothing happens here until after midday.

We have children aged 4 and 5 so the walk to the marina took us around half an hour but the walk with the sports apparatus on it kept them busy and it is a lovely walk down to the marina.

Jill the apartment owner is very accommodating and helpful and kept a good communication flow going throughout.

A couple of tips for anyone else looking at the area:

We hired a car through Luz Car who are slightly more expensive than others but do not charge extra's as the price includes full damage waiver, they also provide free booster and car seats.

We visited Zoomarine which was a great day out and only cost us €60 due to an offer they had on at the time. It was relatively quiet when we went so no queues.

We also did a dolphin safari but unfortunately did not see any dolphins, there were 10 in our boat and of these 3 were sick, as the boat is quite small and very fast it gets a bit bumpy so wouldn't recommend it unless you have a strong stomach.

We ate out twice during our stay at Akvavit and Il Lamparo (Both on the marina) both of these restaurants were very nice and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Superb apartment, fantastic holiday

Our stay at the apartment was everything we hoped it would be and more. The accommodation is spacious, spotlessly clean and accurately described. Our group was Grandma, Grandad, mum, dad and 3 year old so was the perfect size for us and our little boy loved the pool area which was very safe and secure and his pull out bed was very comfortable. Jill was the perfect owner to deal with, always prompt with replies and provided all the information we needed.

Vilamoura is a great place for families and couples with plenty of restaurants, bars and its lovely just to walk around the marina.

We would definitely return to the resort and the apartment and would recommend highly. Thanks Jill for a lovely holiday experience!!

Fantastic apartment in a lovely resort!

The apartment is exactly as described, but the pictures don't do it justice as regards it's size. The living area and bedrooms are lovely and large and a create a sense of openness in what looks to be a small apartment from the front door. When we arrived the property was immaculate and we found everything as described in the property details sent to us by the owner (the only thing that would have been useful is some handsoap in the bathrooms when you first arrive!)

The pool and garden area was beautiful, clean and safe to let the kids wander around on their own and to the play area just behind some of the apartments, knowing they were only 1 min away! May be different if you go in peak season though, when it's busier.

The property was a good 20 minute walk from the marina and beach, which wasn't a problem at first but with a 7 and 5-year old we did end up hiring a car for a couple of days to give them a rest from all the walking! We also used the opportunity to drive to Zoomarine (about 25 min drive) which the kids loved.

The owner was very helpful in the run up to our stay, answering all my e-mails and questions very quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone! We all loved our first visit to the Algarve!

Fabulous Apartment and Pool

Fabulous apartment in a superb location, owners very helpful and responsive, highly recommended. Brilliant for families our kids (9 and 12) loved every minute of their stay there, with the huge swimming pool and large gardens to run around. The apartment itself was very spacious and nicely furnished, the private garden was a big bonus for us we had direct access to the pool area which only a few of the apartments have and also it was great for BBQs which we did several times. The supermarket was only a short walk as was the beach which was very clean. We walked to the Marina when we didn’t eat in, which was easy, lots of great restaurants down there, although try the square at the back where it is a bit cheaper. We will definitely be returning to this apartment.

A Good Place to Stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Apartment Laurel; everything was as presented in the listing. In particular the apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-maintained.

We had no problems in communicating with the owners who handled the booking efficiently and responded to any queries promptly. We were provided with a very comprehensive booklet which included details about the apartment, useful contacts/emergency contacts and information about Vilamoura itself.

The apartment is a short journey from Faro airport (approximately 25 minutes) and is well situated for a pleasant walk, about 25 minutes, to the Marina and beaches.

Great apartment for kids

This was our second time staying in this apartment we also stayed here last year. We have 2 year old twins and a 9 month old baby. The inside of the apartment is lovely everything that you would need, however it is the outside area that's the real winner. In addition to the patio there is also a small garden which the boys had great time kicking their footballs around. We spent either an afternoon or morning each day around the patio. The covering on the patio provides great shade which the baby was able to roam around. The pool is also perfect for this size of kids where there is separate toddler pool, while having a nice adult pool. Access to the pool is direct from the garden,which is great when you have a few kids to bring to the pool and then when we were not going to the pool, we were able to close off the gap with some of the garden furniture which kept them safe.

The beach is about a 20 min walk with marina about a 25 min walk. This seems a bit long however we really enjoyed the walk along the beautiful purpose built walking path. You would need to have a buggy with you. We used walk into the Marina at night and then get a taxi home afterwards. The taxi are very cheap circa €5.

Jill the owner is great and is very helpful with any queries that I had.

I would hope to get to go back there next year again.

All the facilities in the apartment are new with the furnishings to a very high standard. Satellite TV is included. Air conditioning is to all the bedroom areas which has the ability to heat or cool depending on the season. The kitchen is fully equipped for comprehensive self catering. One of the key features of the apartment is the private garden area which adjoins the terrace. The garden is grassed and is bordered by 1.5m high hedge, this gets the sun from 10:30 until 6:00pm during the day and provides a nice area away from the communal pool to sunbathe should you want a bit of privacy The condominium has a huge pool and deck area with loungers which incorporates a children's pool. This is set within 7000sqm of landscaped gardens. There is also a children's play area. The condominium also benefits from being gated which provides extra security with walls around the entire grounds. There is ample parking plus secure underground parking with an allocated space for the apartment.
