Annual Getaway with Friends

  • 5 of 5

This was our second annual visit to the lakefront cabin, and it was just as wonderful as the first time around. I've gone the last two years with a couple of college friends (we met 20+ years ago), and this is the perfect place for us to spend a few uninterrupted days relaxing in nature and catching up, reminiscing about old times and making new memories.

The cabin is so cozy --- we love the fireplace! And we enjoy the fire pit in the backyard, the hammocks, and usually take a spin around the cove in the canoe and kayaks on site. Our trips have both been in the Fall, so we don't usually see much activity on the lake when we go. It's a peaceful, extended weekend that leaves us refreshed and eager to return.

My recommendation --- stop for groceries on your way in, and kick back for the duration of your stay.

Not only is the cabin wonderful, but I have only good things to say about the owners, their attentiveness and the ease of the reservation process. Top notch.

Family weekend

  • 5 of 5

Loved the cabin. Had most of the comforts of home. Plenty of room. Thank goodness for the washer and dryer.

Kids loved the kayaks, canoe and fishing. The gas grill did not work on one side, but they did have a charcoal grill there to use, as well.

Beautiful scenery and lots of memories made. Very clean! We will be back!

Owner's Response: We apologize we weren't aware the side of the grill wasn't working. We will get that grill replaced. So glad you had a wonderful time!

OUTSTANDING CABIN, PROPERTY, AND OWNERS FOR ONE COUPLE OR LARGE FAMILY, IT'S PARADISE!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was even better than described online, and the very first thing that I noticed even before we arrived, was how wonderful it was working with the owner to get our vacation setup. We had our 5 kids along with my 2 brothers and theirs kids, all ranging from a 2 year old up to 17, there wasn't a dull moment in the entire weekend. From walking the trails, swimming on the docks, boating and canoeing, sunbathing, jumping on the trampoline and sleeping in the hammocks, there was something for everybody in our family. The cabin and bunkhouse had everything that we needed for the weekend, were clean and air conditioned, which was nice to be able to get our small children out of the heat when they needed a nap. The kids loved roasting marshmallows at the campfire, and the cove and dock made our night drives on the lake very easy, especially with all of the kids. I have been going down to Beaver Lake for almost 10 years, and this has to rank up there as one of the best trips that we have had, and the kids are already talking about going back to the cabin next year. The owners are great people and extremely accommodating, and I would highly recommend this cabin for a couples getaway or a large family, there is something for everybody. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your cabin, and we will definitely be calling back to get next years trip scheduled.

Perfect Ozark Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin and bunkhouse was exactly as described. The area is exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful time. The canoe and kayaks were easy to get to and kept us entertained. We enjoyed hiking on the property, fishing, swimming, and campfires. And we were so close to everything that a quick trip to the War Eagle Cavern and Mill was just minutes away. We contacted the owners to check with them about the policy about guests since my parents would be coming for part of the time. The owners were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this cabin.
