|Minimum Stay||5 - 7 nights|
Since I expressed to Madame how much my sister and I enjoyed our stay, she asked me politely to leave a review, but I couldn't. Why? Because I didn't want anyone else to find this little jewel! Selfish, I know, but what can I say? So please do not trust me...
I will start with the view which alone is worth harbouring my secret. Everyday the Eiffel Tower stepped into our living room. And the River Seine? We could have jumped onto one of the boats from our full frontage balcony! Not really, of course, but the river was there just across the two-lane avenue. And the metro? Only a short walk and stair climb away. What could be more convenient?
We were fortunate to be there during the French Open. How easy it was to go there. And shopping? Mon Dieu! All around... So too were all the major attractions throughout Paris. Even the farthest was only a train (or three) away. Sure we were west of the city...and sure we found ourselves constantly going east to see what there was to see. But it was like greeting the sun in the morning and following the moon at night. The apartment was perfect for our needs and so was the location....one of the finest in Paris.
But still, I must try to convince you not to stay in this perfect hideaway...so I shall try. The furniture could be improved, although the provincial pieces gave the apartment authenticity. (We felt immediately French!) The one latch on the living room's sliding glass door could be repaired (but a broom handle proved sufficient). The spinner dryer could be better (but who cared anyway?) The shower in the second bathroom could be larger (a good reason to diet!) And the very handsome and most charming manager? He could be less so....especially after I told him I'd heard a night mouse in the wall... What might you guess that he whisperedinto my ear? "One is never alone in Paris, no?" I could hardly contain my giggles!
So there you have it...a most untrustworthy review of a most wonderful apartment that I dream of returning to again.
My son and I brought my grandson, his nephew, for his first trip to Paris to celebrate his high school graduation in mid-June. We have been to Paris many times, but this was our first stay in an apartment. WOW!!! Once inside, the Eiffel Tower is RIGHT there, so close you feel that you could just reach out and touch it. It MADE our stay there quite special! Having breakfast on the balcony every morning and returning there every evening to see La Tour Eiffel all lit up and the remarkable white, sparkly light show every evening on the hour. We also enjoyed watching the boats go by on the Seine below us. The pictures do not do the apartment or its views justice. It set just the right tone for our celebration. Getting there was very easy from CDG--we took the RER-B to Denfert-Rocherau where we switched to the Metro Line 6 and exited at Passy where there is an escalator, then a short 5 minute walk to the apartment where Alexis was waiting. We loved the village atmosphere of Passy just up from the metro. At the rotary, there were several cafes, patisseries, and a bit further on--the grocery store, all very convenient.
Our only hiccups were that we thought there was a clothes dryer, but apparently it's a spinner which didn't completely dry our clothes; the washer worked great. I had expected a blow dryer, but there wasn't one, and my grandson thought the water spray was too hard in his shower. These problems were minuscule when measured against that amazing view, spacious balcony, large rooms, and superb location. The building was very secure and in a great location to access all that Paris has to offer. I will carry with me always the wonderful memories this apartment has afforded my family. I will stay here every time I return to Paris.
The Eiffel Tower view of this apartment on the Seine was magnificent. Five star! The apartment layout was very nice. Four star! From the beginning, our experience with the apartment manager, Alexis, was awful. He was rude and unresponsive which ended up costing us in the end. When we arrived, there were dirty towels hanging on the back of the door. We called Alexis and left a message that it was not working. He never returned our call, never fixed the problem. Our traveling companions had to reach into the toilet each time they wanted to flush the toilet. He arrived on the morning that we were leaving, went straight to the bathroom, began shouting and refused to return our substantial deposit. Eventually, we were charged for the toilet repair and the rest of our deposit was refunded. We did not break the toilet and instead were inconvenienced by it. This was our dream vacation for our 45th wedding anniversaries. Our encounter with Alexis was very much a bump in the road. This was definitely a two star experience.
Just sitting in this apartment and looking at the Eiffel Tower every night is worth the rental price!! We did Spring Break 2015 in Paris and this apartment was the perfect home base for the five of us (parents and three teen girls). Having two metro lines minutes away is reason enough to stay but the VIEW!! The apartment is spacious, well lit, clean and secure. The kitchen is well appointed and having a washing machine/spinner was very convenient. I have already recommended this apartment to friends and would definitely stay here again.
From the first moment to the last, I and my 2 friends absolutely loved staying at this apartment. The spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower and the balcony alone would be worth booking it! It is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, and there are ample linens. The kitchen was packed with everything you could possibly need. The location is excellent. The Passy Metro station and bridge across the river are a short walk away. Take time to continue up the stairs to enjoy the lovely town of Passy. Crossing the river leads to restaurants and shops, and the Eiffel Tower. A walk down the avenue in the other direction leads to the Trocadero museums, parks and fountains, and bridge across the river to the Eiffel Tower and Champs du Mars. Alexi was at the apartment when we arrived and even met us very early the morning of our departure for checkout due to our flight schedule. He was wonderful. I highly recommend this apartment, and would definitely stay here again.
You may be charged an additional 40 euro if you pay via the VRBO/HomeAway process as we did. The payment process is easy to use and secure, with prompt receipts and notifications. The Homeowners pay a transaction fee for this service, and this owner passed the fee on to us. By no means should this stop you from booking the apt! I only mention it so that future guests can avoid confusion when the final payment is due. This is a very minor detail when compared with the extraordinary experience of staying here. You will not regret it!
This is our first time in Paris for my husband and I. We traveled with another couple, great friends of ours in mid march '14 for our 30th wedding anniversary. This apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Very spacious and the location........ the absolute BEST! The Eiffel Tower is right across from you, with only the Seine River in between. We were greeted by Alexi and immediately made us feel at home. Kitchen very spacious with everything you need, even champagne glasses! The train station was very close and same for shopping and eating. We would definitely come back and stay here! It was an incredible stay and will forever cherished! Don't miss out on the Lady (Eiffel Tower) black out at 1:00am when they turn all the lights off at the Eiffel and switched to millions of blinking lights!
This apartment was the cherry on top of our first visit to Paris!
