This is the BEST place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Nothing to add to every other reviewer about this rental. Wonderful in every way! Josh is easy and delightful to deal with. House is clean, elegant and modern. Location could not be more perfect; quiet, peaceful, beautiful setting yet so close to downtown one direction or hiking trails in the other. Had a lovely time with our family here and will look no further should we return to Asheville. THANKS!

Well equipped, convenient home

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay (4 adults) in this property. The location was ideal, just minutes from downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting was great, surrounded by trees - it made us feel like we were living in a treehouse! There were plenty of towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc. If you plan to cook here, you may want to bring ziplock bags, foil, leftover containers, etc., but that is all you will need.

As with any property, this house had its quirks. The master bath shower is a shower head extending from the ceiling, feeding into the whirlpool tub, with no curtain or shower door to contain the water - which meant wiping up the bathroom floor after every shower. Also, the downstairs furniture is more comfortable than the firm, modern upstairs furniture, but we spent most of our time upstairs, wishing the sofa were more comfortable. Finally, it appears that new air conditioning ducts were installed recently downstairs and have not yet been enclosed; hopefully that job will be completed soon to make the property truly "Newly Renovated Luxurious" as advertised!

All that being said, we would definitely recommend this property and would consider staying here again if we return to Asheville.

Lovely Modern Home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in February. We loved the open concept on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is clean and modern, the furniture is just right. Sitting in the living room area on the 2nd floor and looking out the windows gave you the feeling of being in a tree house. Beautiful sunsets!

The master bedroom was large and attached bathroom nicely appointed. Loved that they had dressers and closet space. Not all vacation rentals do. Downstairs was another living area, 2 bedrooms, laundry room, bathroom. The bedrooms downstairs were a bit smaller and the floor plan less open to accommodate everything. However the bedrooms were well appointed with closet and dresser space. The house was clean and spacious. Loved having the washer/dryer.

A few quirks about the house - there is only a spiral staircase indoors to move between the floors, though outdoors there is a regular staircase, so any one with little children or mobility problems might find it difficult. It appears there is a new HVAC system and the duct work was not covered. A little unsightly, but the heat works quickly! We only had to turn it on once and in about 10 minutes the downstairs where we were sleeping was warm. Deck and ceilings were showing their age, could use a coat of paint, but that was a really minor point. The bathrooms were clean, modern and due to the round house footprint, very interesting layouts. A good use of space all around. The downstairs shower was very dark, and could use a shelf and a light, but very cool/modern feeling with the shape and tile.

Finding this place the first time was a bit challenging, but it would not be the retreat it is without the location. Print out the directions and follow it closely, there will be now problems. I was amazed we could go from this retreat to downtown in about 5 minutes. It was incredibly closer to everything than you can imagine when sitting in the house. Beautiful views of the city on the drive up.

I would love to have a house like this for retirement - a very calming retreat!

Great for Bachelorette Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time here! The place was great, and Josh was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. The house was clean and well kept. Staying in a round house was pretty cool, it was in a great central location and had fantastic views! Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again. Thanks again Josh!

Love this home!

  • 5 of 5

This was a very nice property! The house is well maintained and very clean. The beds are super comfortable and there is plenty of space. Owner is very responsive to questions. Location is central and very close to activities like Biltmore, river activities, shopping and good food! Owner provides towels and linens which is a bonus to not have to pack those items! There was plenty of hand soap, dish soap and paper products. I would recommend this to family and friends and will book again next time in Asheville!

Unique House in Asheville

  • 5 of 5

Josh was very timely and helpful in his responses to questions. The house was modern and well equipped. TV and WIFI worked fine. The beds were excellent for sleeping and the design of the house made it bright and inviting. The spiral stairs from the downstairs to the upstairs are a little tight, but there is a walkway and stairs on the outside if need be. It was an easy drive to Asheville, The Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway from the house. There were also convenience stores and larger groceries a little over a mile from the house. I would definitely recommend this house if staying in Asheville.
