Very spacious house with Great Amenities
Great house with plenty of room for 12 people. Disappointing we had to be out of the house at 10.00am on Sunday morning after a wedding the night before.
Hi Anne . Thanks for staying. Hope you can return and stay again some day.
By the way, if you are still thinking of building in Mud Brick - we have a workshop on in January 18 and 19. Could be helpful.
Lovely place
This is one of best homestay! All of us really enjoy our stay. We have everything we needs here. We can even stay at this place all day and just relex . We were greets by the friendly dog when we first arrived. I would strongly recommended this is a place for those who want to get out from the city life. This is definately a place to free your mind and spend the quality with family and friends.
Thank you so much Chin. It was a pleasure having you stay. Shame you didn't have more time...we would have been able to do some wildlife spotting. Never mind...next time eh :-)
We had a fabulous time. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond when it came to hosting.
Fabulous location so peaceful and quite yet within easy distance to Paterson, Dungog and Morpeth. The most amazing (and interesting) hosts you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.
Hi Rosie.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. We are so delighted you all enjoyed your stay so much!
Hidden Paradise
Shepherds Gully is a truly brilliant property. Our extended family was greeted warmly by Anne and made to feel welcome from arrival to departure. The property is well set up to cater for a large group (we had 10 guests) with lots of room to allow the cousins to do their own thing without intruding on the adults. The amenities were superb and very homely and extremely comfortable with lots to keep all entertained in the games room to a large selection of DVDs. Anne unobtrusively attended to our daily needs with refreshing firewood, coffee etc. A truly magic spot and lovely hosts. Fully recommend to anybody and keen to travel back from New Zealand for another visit.
Hello Julie and Geoff. Thank you so much for your very kind words. We are extremely happy you enjoyed yourselves so much and are keen to welcome you back in the future!
Fantastic location, beautiful house.
Great fire, lovely rooms, beautiful space. A great night away
Thank you so much Helen.
SALT at Shephards Gully
We travel all the time and have stayed in many different places, we don’t always get to stay in one place for a couple of days but with workshops in the general Hunter Valley region this time we were lucky enough to do so.Shepherds Gully is an amazing place built with load bearing mud bricks it also uses sustainable practices such as Solar hot water and air con, recycled doors and windows and sustainably harvested bamboo flooring. We have been surprised at how awesome - and quiet- the composting toilets are and absolutely no smell! Outside is delightful with the cutest hobbit cubby and animals surrounded by beautiful trees. Thank you Anne and Ian for hosting us in this special place.
Hi Sonia. It was really lovely having you and the SALT team stay at Shepherds Gully. We were delighted you enjoyed your stay and were comfortable. Hope you can visit again when you are next in the area spreading the good word about girls in trades!
