Welcome to Savana at Porto Cupecoy in chic St Maarten, my spacious and contemporary condo located on a prime site within the exclusive Porto Cupecoy marina. Savana can be rented as a 1 or 2 Bedroom Condo and can sleep up to 4 guests.

Savana occupies a prime position at the front of Porto Cupecoy with some of the best views of the marina and ocean beyond. Its flexible accommodation offers one or two bedrooms, depending on the size of your party.

Designed for indoor and outdoor living, its spacious and airy interior extends to a generous 1453 sq ft with an additional 550 sq ft of covered terrace. A home away from home, attention has been paid to every detail for guests’ enjoyment and comfort.

The interior features an Italian leather wrap-around couch and a six-seater glass top dining table. Amenities and conveniences include stainless-steel appliances, granite and marble countertops, double-bowl sinks, stainless steel faucets and fittings, self-cleaning ovens and microwaves, side-by-side refrigerators, with bottom drawer freezers, electric cook-tops and whisper-quiet dishwashers. The fully equipped laundry room includes a washer and dryer. There is cable TV in the lounge and master bedroom for those chill out stay-in evenings and wireless Internet throughout.

The main bedroom has a king-size bed, flat screen TV and is fully air conditioned along with a ceiling fan for total comfort. The en-suite, luxury marble bathroom has a full bath with a marble travertine countertop, twin his and hers basins and a separate shower room. The second guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, a separate, marble luxury shower room with stylish basin and is also fully air conditioned with a ceiling fan.

About Amanda Woodward

Based in London, I have been visiting St Maarten for over 15 years, and for an island that's barely 37sq miles, I have always been amazed by the incredible choice of activities and the contrast of the French and Dutch sides.

I vividly remember the day of my first visit to the island when I walked through immigration and then literally straight out of the airport. The fact there was no long queues at Customs made me feel wonderfully liberated.

With well over 25 years working with Caribbean tourism organisations and selling vacations to this beautiful part of the world, this tiny island was like a breath of fresh air. It had nicely balanced traditional old school Caribbean with a dash of European modernism not to mention it being a stones throw away from Anguilla and St Barths

Like any excited tourist, I had read about all these restaurants on the island and I wanted to count them all to confirm that there were really over 300 eateries. I seem to remember stopping after 130 and gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Why Amanda Woodward chose St Maarten / Saint Martin

I fell in love straight away and decided out of all the umpteen islands I had visited, this is where I wanted to lay my hat and make it my home in the sun. Conscious of suffering a little mild sun stroke, I thought I might get a second opinion, hence I invited a couple of well-travelled friends across in the months following and they unanimously gave it the thumbs up

Having learn that Orient Express who owns La Samanna on the French side was building a marina development, I investigated, had an early eveningmeeting with the sales representative and even though I couldn't quite see the plans she laid out, I was totally sold on the concept. The development has truly lived up to its expectations and I continue to savour every minute that I spend in the apartment. I love the sunrise at about 6am where the reflection on the marina just glistens and reaffirms the peacefulness at that time of the day. Outdoor dining on the covered terraced is de rigueur, it somehow makes the food and wine taste more delightful

I am happy to share my home with you and perhaps hope to meet you one day and share your experiences and stories

What makes this condo unique

Savana, is spacious, comfortable, contemporary with fabulous views of the marina front with full views of mega yachts when docked. Its excellant for dining on the terrace, or to hold a small cocktail party while on island.

Absoultly the best place in Cupecoy!

This is my 3rd visit to the island, and the first time I've seen the construction projects around the Cupecoy area. Will say I was very pleased! The beach area we all so love is exactly the same, but this resort, Porto Cupecoy, and the Savanna condo was fantastic! Excellent design, location, interior furnishings, it's exactly what I would love to call "my place" one day. Sharon took great care to ensure I was settled in, and quickly too. You will be hard pressed to find anyplace that comes close to this. Walking distance to anything you would care to experience. Food in the resort are wonderful, all the meals prepared with care, and at a reasonable price. If you like to shop, the Blue Mall is next door! But better yet, just across the street, is the best beach on the island, glorious Cupecoy Beach. Rent an umbrella and chair and let the stresses of Stateside life melt away. I most certainly will return. Thank you all!

This is our second stay here and feels like home now. When we were visiting I had the opportunity to see another condo that was extremely beautiful and brand-new and updated. But I prefer Savana because it's bright and airy and homey, with a very private patio. And it's home for us! We will be back for sure. Thank you for yet another great stay.

Always an Amazing time

This was my second stay at Savana at Porto Cupecoy, the condo is decorated beautifully with a hug white leather sectional. We enjoyed havng breakfast on the terrace every morning, the package with the rental car was a great deal while it was easy for us to explore the island. I would recommend this place to anyone and I have stayed many place through out the world. 5 stars plus

Beautiful St Martin

This is the first time my husband and I stayed in a condo rather than a hotel or resort for vacation. It turned out to be one of the most relaxing vacations ever! First of all the property of Savana at Porto Cupecoy was beautiful and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. We made coffee each morning and brought it to the gorgeous terrace to enjoy and relax before starting our day out. We went to many different beaches every day and a trip to Phillisburg one day. It was easy to get both to the French side and Dutch in this location. The check in and check out was very easy with Sharon on property if we needed her which we didn't. We rented a car which is a must on this island so you can get to the many different beaches. There were quite a few great restaurants in the area which Mario's Bistro right on property and Temptation just down the road were 2 of our favorite. If we ever return to St Martin we know where to stay. Thank you Amanda and Paul.

Where do you live?

What a wonderful place!!

We have been staying in Savana for the last four years. It is truly a loving unit, decorated tastefully in red and white. The unit is spacious, with large L-shape balcony that has an amazing view of the lighthouse. The unit in located in the Marina with many restaurants/bars and a grocery store just down stairs. There is entertainment in the square a few nights a week.

Porto Cupecoy is a great location on the island. We go to the French side to the beach and love the dutch side at night. Walking distance to the Blue Mall and Cupecoy beach. A "must stay" when in St. Martin's.

Savana-- "Home Away From Home" Porto Cupecoy

This is our third year staying at this wonderful property. All that my wife and I needed was either right on the property or very close by, including a very short walk (1 Min) across the street to go to the beach, there was really no reason for us to leave the property ( multiple restaurants, beautiful pool, fitness center, supermarket and shops all on the property ) . The pictures posted on the web site are extremely accurate and the check in/out process is extremely efficient and totally painless with Sharon ( the onsite rep. ) ( for others who have stayed at other SXM locations you know how time consuming checking in can be ). This is a very secure, well appointed and comfortable condo. The overall property is top notch and very well maintained with outstanding views over the marina. The property is spacious enough for 4 people to enjoy the comfort, the breezes on the balcony, and just to relax without being on each other's space. The convenient location could not be beat; close to the airport, beaches, restaurants along with all the amenities that Porto Cupecoy had to offer. Porto Cupecoy's restaurants, in my opinion, are on par with some of the best on the island and the convenience to have several to choose from, made it hard to want to leave the property. We look forward to recommending your wonderful condo to anyone looking for a great vacation spot . We will be back to stay at Savana in Porto Cupecoy next year..
