Conveniently located close to the regions many local attractions, beaches and fine dining yet far enough away to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet at the end of the day on 2.5 acres of rural retreat.
ABOUT THE COTTAGE AND AMENITIES
With its own entrance and fully screened off from the main house, your privacy is assured both inside and out.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all (mainly new) appliances including dishwasher, double oven, cook-top, microwave, washing machine and TV/DVD. A selection of Tea/Coffee is supplied as well as basic condiments and other kitchen essentials. A gas BBQ and outdoor heater is also provided for your sole use.
The bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and comfortably accommodates a queen size bed. It has a full size built in robe with hangers provided. Bed linen/bath towels are supplied and the bed is ready made for your arrival.
There is free internet TV and WIFI from which you can access your music of choice. A selection of DVD's, games and books are supplied. There is full mobile reception in the cottage and surrounds.
Reclining deck chairs also provided to soak up the sun or just relax and enjoy a drink and the end of the day.
An in ground salt water pool is available to our guests and you can help yourself to the herb garden and fruits in season - mangoes, oranges, bananas.
For the safety of our guests, the cottage is equipped with fire detectors, fire extinguisher and emergency contact numbers.
One of the best things about our location is that nothing is far in terms of amenities and local attractions within the region which makes it a great base to explore from.
There is a big choice of good beaches stretching from Byron Bay to Ballina within 12-25 minutes drive (depending on the beach) and Tintenbar's popular Killen Falls with it's fresh water swimming hole is even closer.
There is a wide choice of restaurants and cafe's to dine at all within 2-15 minutes drive including our well regarded local French restaurant Chez Bon (just down the road) and the iconic Harvest restaurant widely acclaimed for offering the best regional cuisine in the hinterland (just up the road).
The region is not only renowned for its numerous music and cultural festivals but also it's regular markets such as those at Bangalow, Byron, Mullumbimby and Ballina which are all within a 10-25 minute drive.
If you need a bit of pampering Olivia Newton-Johns highly awarded Gaia Retreat & Spa with an impeccable reputation, is just up the road offering a wide range of massage and facial treatments.
For sport enthusiast there are 3 golf courses close by within 5-20 minutes drive and for fishermen/women Ballina's Richmond River and it's breakwalls are a popular spot for catching jewfish, bream, whiting, flathead and snapper.
Also, the area is well regarded for it's many scenic routes whether it be by car, motor bike or cycling.

You'll need a car to explore the region from our base. The trip from Ballina/Byron airport is 10 minutes and there are regular Jetstar and Virgin flights every day to/from Sydney and Melbourne. Flights on Pelican Air to/from Newcastle are also scheduled. Gold Coast airport is a 50 minute drive offering more domestic and international flights.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The property is also home to three friendly animals - Roy and Charlie our labrador dogs and Bruno our 'namesake' pet sheep (who thinks he's a dog!). They roam the yard as they choose and love making new friends.
As we live in the main house adjacent to the cottage we are available if you need anything during your stay but your privacy will be respected as we want you to feel at home in your own space.
Extended check in/out times may be possible free of charge if you let us know no sooner than 1-7 days before your arrival.
Although smoking is strictly not permitted in the cottage, it is allowed anywhere outdoors.
We ask that you respect ours and our neighbours environment by not making excessive noise after 10.00 pm.
