Wonderful old stone-farmhouse made into a private-use holiday home, with a spectacular view over the rolling hills. The house is situated in almost 1ha land, with private pool, small forest, little pond and no immediate neighbours.
Fully-equipped kitchen with dining table for 6 people, living room/lounge/reading room with a fireplace, two bedrooms, all with rustic feel. The 2 bedrooms each have a double bed, one has a large TV and separate toilet. The small open mezzanine has a single bed. It sleeps comfortably 4-5 persons. Bathroom with WC, bathtub, shower and washing machine, plus separate WC for one of the bedrooms. The property suits best for a couple with children, two couples, or a group of max. 6 adults (the sleeping quarters however are more limited in case of 6 adults).
There is a private garden with adjacent forest with magnificent view over the Burgundy rolling hills. Outside pool and pond in the garden. The renovation was finished in 2009 with rustic feel. The outside terrace has a traditional BBQ, dining table facing the scenery, a separate coffee table and the pool with sunbathing chairs. The quiet beautiful countryside surrounding the house offers excellent hiking and biking possibilities. A vacation in this property will give you the best of Burgundy countryside!
(Please note: Final cleaning is not included. In case guest chooses not to make the final cleaning, a cleaning fee of 100 EUR is charged. Otherwise it is expected the guest leaves the house in same condition as at arrival.)

About N. Suomalainen
The house served in 1940-50's as a farmhouse and garden for a local vegetable grower. At the property were found letters from that time from local shop-owners inquiring the current going price for lettuce and other vegetables! The location was ideal for vegetable farming thanks to the sunny slope position and its private water source. The property was acquired by the previous owner in 2007, who made a major renovation turning the simple farmhouse into a holiday home and building the pool. The ownership was changed in 2014. The current owner only rents out the house during limited number of weeks in summer, otherwise keeping it for personal leasure-time use.

It is rare to find an available holiday house at such a peaceful location, with no immediate neighbors, with a private pool, with such a view and rustic atmosphere. The house is only rented out a few weeks in the summer, otherwise remaining at the private use of the owner. The house is a perfect place in summer for those who want to relax in the sun, enjoy breakfast by the pool and watch the scenery, have walks in the nature as well as enjoy all the good Burgundy can offer for wine tasting, nice restaurants and familiarizing with the historic locations.

Tranquil location, spectacular view.
This is a charming cottage overlooking the valley. The views from the terrace and pool area are spectacular. The property is very private and secluded. We would describe the property as rustic but comes complete with all mod cons that made the stay very comfortable. The owner was not able to greet us however we had a good line of communication and Nina's instructions were very clear and helpful. Nina contacted us a few days after we had left to ask how things were during our stay. Nearby places of interest are the towns of Cluny and Paray-Le-Monial. Excellent bicycle country if you like rolling terrain. Would definitely stay again if we found ourselves in this area.

15 min by car from Cluny with its impressive Abbey, attractive atmosphere and historic sites. Great Cluny market on Saturday morning with local produces, fruit, vegetables, cheeses. Wonderful vineyards for tasting the famous Burgundy wines, lovely restaurants in nearby villages. Equestrian competitions in Cluny and a vibrant social life. Medieval castles, churches and buildings in the region.
