About the property

Our place is minutes from the walk/bike track, open spaces and playgrounds of Lake Monger. It is also a ten minute drive to the city and to the beach. You'll love it because of its ultra convenient location, high Art Deco ceilings and huge landscaped garden and solar heated pool. All the beds have quality mattresses and luxurious Sheridan Australia linen. Within its charming interior, every modern convenience has also been considered including high speed internet. Our place has especially thoughtful touches like toys, books and games for families with children.

The house was built in 1932 and while we have lovingly restored it with a stylish new kitchen and bathroom, it still very much preserves its Californian bungalow character. As well as the house there are many "outdoor rooms" to be enjoyed on the front verandah, back deck (with BBQ), in the garden and around the pool especially during the balmy Perth summer months.

Guests will have access to all areas of the house and garden except the back shed and garage.

Our priority is to give our guests privacy to enjoy the house and garden but we are readily available if you need help or for us to drop anything off.

This used to be our home and as a result we are very friendly with our neighbours on either side and across the road. It is a particularly welcoming neighbourhood with lots of young families.

Within walking distance are the Wembley and Glendalough IGA supermarkets, cafes, restaurants on Cambridge Street as well great takeaway places like Flipside and the bar next door The Stanley.

Our place is 150 metres from the closest bus stop (on Grantham Street) which will take you 20 minutes to get to Perth City and 30 minutes to get to City Beach. If you take a taxi, uber or have a rental car it will only take you 10 minutes to drive to both the city and the beach.

There is space for two cars in the secure driveway and we also have two off street parking spaces on the verge if you have any visitors.

There is a DVD player and plenty of DVDs to watch. There is also an Apple TV so you can access your iTunes and Netflix accounts.

We also have a high chair and a port-a-cot (also with quality linen) free of charge if required.
