A Great Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was 9/10 - 9/17/16

First, the property is "MAGNIFICENT", what a beautiful place to spend time with your family. The first question from my children after returning home & reality was, are we going there next year. "ya never know". Everything was very clean, orderly & well organized. The amenities were unending, the kitchen had everything that anyone would need to prepare meals, about all that you need to supply is food. There are two groceries near by, Walmart in Cheyboygan & Kens in Indian River, both have a good stock of items.

The furnishings were extremely nice, no bargain barn stuff, all first class. The beds were very comfortable, as was all of the furniture. The breakfast room, family room, sun room afforded great views of the lake & the deck was terrific with plenty of seating. The kids loved the play-doh in the bunk bed room & the game room downstairs. There were plenty of things to do inside if you had a rainy day. A big attraction for all was the fire ring, good to sit around, talk & roast marshmallows. There was plenty of fire wood to purchase locally, my only suggestion is, bring a little wagon to haul the wood down to the fire ring.

There were good places to eat both in Indian River & Cheboygan, we rented a pontoon boat at the Indian River Marina, it was very nice as was the journey up the Indian River into Mullet lake. The only some what negative was anchoring the boat, we couldn't use the dock, there was an in ground anchor point out in the water that you had to get into the water to tie up & walk on to the shore. This was some what inconvenient, however not knowing the the lake & what potential storms could do, maybe essential.

I would love to rent this outstanding property again & would recommend this to anyone........

Beyond words....fabulous....most well equipped home ever rented!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this beautiful home for a month this summer to have a large family reunion. As it turned out, we had 19 grown kids and grandkids join us from across the country. Everyone had the absolute best time.... Great weather, great activities everyday, even daily volleyball tournaments and lots of water activities, From fishing, kayaking, kneeboarding, tubing, wake boarding, swimming, and picnics on the pontoon. Our days were filled with large breakfasts cooked in the chef style kitchen, and bar-b-ques for dinner, before game time every evening and story telling around the bonfire. The views just sitting on the large deck were spectacular, and the home had many nice surprises! Nichole was wonderful to work with. Not only would we highly recommend it to others, but have already rented it to return next summer. The property is the best we have ever rented, but the special family memories we made while there are even better!

Gorgeous Lake Front Home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every inch of this Northern Getaway! Large beautiful kitchen was stocked and was great for fixing meals for the whole gang. 20 of us in all and plenty of room to move around! The entire home is creatively decorated to give it that up north feel with all the comforts of home. The large deck was a treat for all to look out at the lake, watch the kids play in the sand and jump on the trampoline. The yard was big enough for volleyball games which the family played daily. Our 1st time on Mullet Lake we were surprised at how clear the water was and enjoyed the sandy bottom. The older kids had fun swimming out to and jumping off of the floating dock. It was nice being close to the boat launch as a family memeber brought up his ski boat, we were also able to rent a pontoon boat from a local marina. Unfortunately, the winds picked up and we were not able to use the boats as much as we had hoped. The teenagers took over the basement for sleeping (sleeping in) and it was nice they had their own bathroom. The extra fridge in the basement came in handy too! And I don't think there was a night that we didn't gather around the bonfire either! Like I said, we enjoyed every inch!

Nicole was great to work with, ways answered my many many questions promptly. Thank you Nicole!
