"Penguin Seascape" is a self contained house in Penguin overlooking the beautiful Bass Strait. Just a short walk into the town centre, where you will find supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and a bakery.
The house is fully self-contained and has 4 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 8 people. Two bedrooms (one with ensuite) have a queen size bed. The other two bedrooms have 2 single bed in each. All beds are provided with electric blankets to help keep you warm during the winter months. Linen and towels are provided, The kitchen is well appointed with a microwave and dishwasher to help make cooking easy if you choose to eat in.
There are two flatscreen TV's, one in the main living room and the other in the main bedroom, for your entertainment. Free wifi is also available.
Penguin is located between Burnie and Devonport on the Northwest coast of Tasmania, a 20 minute drive from the ferry from Melbourne to Devonport. It is an easy drive to many local attractions including Gunns Plains Caves, Cradle Mountain, Leven Canyon and The Nut as well as home to the adorable fairy penguins.
There are also heaps of activities for children to do in the surrounding area - from visiting the beach to go-carting at La Trobe, The Berry Farm is a wonderful restaurant with great local produce, and there is a native zoo at Gunns Plains. The local beach is patrolled during the summer months.
