Wonderful little getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much! The property is lovely and the home is charming and well equipped with anything you might need. I wanted to take the whole darn kitchen home with me. The front porch is perfect, we spent quite a bit of time out there. Would love to come back for another stay.

Peace and quiet....at last. We loved every minute!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this amazing property from Sept. 27 -Oct 1. I wish that I was still there, today. First of all, the weather complied....but truthfully, I would have loved sitting on the couch with my 2 dogs in front of the gas fire, just reading and relaxing. Everything about this property is just amazing. The house is so well built, the view is just breathtaking, and the dogs loved every moment of their vacation. They are never let off leash at home. I live on a busy street. But they ran around and around the house, chasing chipmunks and squirrels and honestly? I think they are having post vacation depression right now! I have used VRBO several times, but this trip was one of my favorites. Thank you, Donna for sharing your house."

A dreamy little escape

  • 5 of 5

The house was just perfect. Very close to the Vermont Country store as advertised and a short 30 min drive to Killington.

The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was quaint and practical. There was no wifi, cable or other such modern amenities; however, there were plenty of board games. Our favorite board game was the "The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Game" (I already purchased my own on Amazon).

We got some beautiful sunshine and noticed a blooming peach tree! We were even able to pick a few to eat and they were so delicious!

All in all, wonderful experience.

Quiet & Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We love going to the cottage. We've been there now I think 3 times. Good quality with the kids. No computers, No PS4's. Everyone outside, play board games at night and plenty of stuff to do with in driving distance. One of our favorite places!

Great Value

  • 5 of 5

We found everything clean and well organized.

The house itself is up on a hill a good distance from the neighboring property.

Nice little gas fireplace is convenient and simple to use for ambiance.

All the small appliances are vintage and in excellent condition adding to the cottage charm.

Donna, the owner, is very pleasant and helpful.

It's a remote location as nearby Chester really has nothing to offer, but it's a pretty short drive to Okemo and a GREAT value compared to places a bit closer to the ski resorts and it is convenient to the highway being just a couple minutes away.

If I wanted to say something negative about our stay, I would have to make something up!

Jim and Vickie.
