London House Rental Photos and Description

House: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms -- Sleeps 8 adults (Plus 2 infants)


Situated on the edge of Zone 1, close to two Tube stations and with frequent buses to Waterloo, Westminster and beyond, it is the perfect base for a vacation exploring London.

Both Tube stations are a 10-minute walk away, or take the bus and be at Tate Britain, Big Ben, or Westminster Abbey in 10-15 minutes!

The house is situated in a safe, quiet, residential street and with space to spread out and relax (a scarce commodity in most London holiday apartments) it is perfect for families, couples, or larger groups. On quiet nights you can even hear Big Ben strike and the River Thames is just a short walk away.

The new American Embassy is being built nearby, very close to the impressive MI6 building.

Please note that this is a traditional British semi-detatched house, not an apartment. You occupy the whole house, so no noisy neighbours above, or below!

There are two 'Local' express supermarkets 5-minutes away, plus cafés, delis and restaurants, all within easy reach. There are also two gyms nearby to work off the calories.

The property has recently been totally refurbished and is supplied with everything you'll need to make your stay stress free and comfortable and cut down on your luggage.

There is a small, but fully-loaded kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Upstairs, are two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and remote-controlled ceiling fans, a smaller bedroom with full sized bunk-bed and a family bathroom with bath tub and power shower.

Downstairs there is a shower room, a lounge with double sofa bed, ceiling fan and flat screen TV and a dining room (seats 8) leading out to a patio garden.

Baby cots and inflatable beds can also be supplied on request. The house is centrally-heated and double-glazed.

Linens, towels, bathrobes and 2 hairdriers are supplied.

The house sleeps 8 adults (in beds/sofabed, plus we can provide 2 extra cots for infants)

For relaxing at night, a selection of DVDs and Xbox 360 games are available (please ask, as we like to offer age appropriate films and Xbox games), as well as books and games.

Free Wi-Fi is available. Also supplied are two pay-as-you-go phones for you to use during your stay.

Some basic food stuffs to get you started are included, such as tea, coffee (instant, decaff and filter), milk, bread, eggs, butter, cooking oil, olive oil and condiments.

If you would like us to have your own shopping ready for you when you arrive we can arrange that for a small fee of £10, or you can order it online and have it delivered and we will put perishables in the fridge.

If you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best.

Check in is 4 p.m. Check out is 10 a.m.

If you are arriving early, we can look after your luggage until check in time, so you can fit in some sightseeing.

We try to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times.

There is a total no smoking policy in the house, but guests may smoke in the garden.

Daily Parking Permits can be arranged, the current cost is £5 per day.

We are nearby, so always on call for any queries.

Fantastic stay

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Jeff and Bev's house. The location is perfect for exploring all the sights, but tucked in a quiet and safe neighborhood so you can relax and rest after a long day of sightseeing. Both Jeff and Bev were on hand to meet us when we arrived, taking time to explain everything about the house and answer questions. Having a stocked refrigerator upon arrival was lovely, as we really needed a cup of coffee or tea after a long international flight.

It is Jeff and Bev's attention to detail that really makes the house special. In addition to the stocked fridge on arrival they provide cell phones, Oyster cards and a wide range of DVDs and entertainment for evenings at home. The house is immaculate and well-appointed, with plenty of towels and extra bedding if needed. We had a perfect vacation, largely in part to the comfortable accommodations that Jeff and Bev provide. We hope to return again soon!

Perfect home in London

This house was perfect in every way, from its location to the amenities.

Bev and Jeff greeted us warmly and showed us where everything was located:umbrellas, maps, the washing machine, the drying rack, DVDs and so much more. There was food in the refridgerator:bacon, eggs, bread and orange juice. There was coffee, teas, nutella, oil, vinegar and many spices. All six of us felt right at home. There were even 2 cellphones for us to use which came in very handy. The house is in a quiet area and very close to the bus. It wasn't too far of a walk to the London Eye and many places just over the Vauxhall bridge.

Some great restaurants are nearby too: A Toca, Ocean Blue are 2 we loved. The 4 kids loved the dvd selections after a long day of touring. I appreciated all the guidebooks and maps at the house. Best one was Rick Steve's London. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting London. You will be glad you did! Thank you Bev and Jeff for our wonderful stay.

Very comfortable home in London - great base for touring!

We were greeted by Bev and Jeff when we arrived at their home on August 27th for an 8 night stay, and it was just as the photos indicated. Very clean and cozy, and enough room for our 3 teenagers and the 2 of us (great to have 2 bathrooms!). They take pride in their home and took care to walk us through all the amenities. It was great being able to order groceries ahead of time and have them arrive at the home just as we arrived, knowing the Jeff and Bev would have taken them in for us had we been late at the airport. Their location is very accessible to the bus and tube (Vauxhall Station) and we could easily get to all of the historical sites we visited. When the weather got warm at night, they even helped us get enough fans so that everyone was comfortable. Loved that all the extras were available - tea, coffee, sugar, etc. Enough seating in the living room for the whole family to watch Mr. Bean every night! Having the oyster cards available to us was another bonus. Many extra perks were available, almost too many to mention. Thanks again Bev and Jeff for a very memorable and enjoyable stay with our family in London!

Hidden paradise in the heart of London

When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome. Jeff and Bev gave us a personal tour of the house. There was a lot of information available about London (maps, where to eat etc.). They provided us with Oyster cards for public transportation.

The house was impeccable, well equipped kitchen, towels, soap etc, etc, there was even food in the fridge.

All public transportation is at walking distance. We drove to London by car and parking our car in front of the house cost us only £5 per day.

We certainly reccommend this house to everyone who wants to stay in a well maintained, clean house in London with very helpfull owners.

Excellent séjour chez Bev et Jeff

S'il ne faut dire qu'un seul mot, c'est parfait. La maison très bien située pour visiter Londres (3 lignes de bus amènent au métro, donc très peu d'attente, on peut aussi aller au métro à pied) et la maison est très confortable. Nous étions 5 adultes et 5 enfants et tout le monde était à l'aise. Mais surtout, c'est l'accueil de Bev et Jeff qu'il faut souligner. Pleins d'attentions dans la maison pour se sentir chez soi : thé, café, confiture maison, de quoi déjeuner en arrivant, des parapluies et ponchos, des oyster card à prêter, des jeux vidéo, des CD, des livres, des peignoirs et chaussons, .... et même le prêt de téléphones portables pour communiquer par SMS. Nous avons profité de la cour extérieure tous les soirs pour manger ou prendre l'apéritif.

Je recommande les yeux fermés.
