Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Great 3 bedroom house to stay in. Very neat and tidy property close to town centre and all amenities. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, we could not have asked for more. Excellent little outdoor area, ideal for breakfast outside in the mornings, and great for kids to run around.

Also, a short 10 minute drive to some fantastic wineries and a little chocolate factory.

Definitely stay here again if we are in the area

Perfect for 3 couples

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was perfect for a weekend stay for 3 couples attending a wedding at one of the wineries. The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee and wine was a very thoughful touch too- thank you!

Clean and Comfortable. Great location

  • 5 of 5

The house was clean and had a modern kitchen and bathroom with large bath. Great location in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Had air conditioning in living areas and main bedroom which worked well heating these areas. Nice touch having the bottle of wine and coffee machine with pods.

Clean, affordble and in good location

  • 4 of 5

This renovated miner's home was clean and convenient. A short walk to Cessnock town center and within easy driving distance of many wineries and attractions. We had some initial communication issues with the host, but after they were resolved the home was easy to access.

The main downside to this cottage was the heating - the reverse cycle systems were only in the main living areas which left the bedrooms very cold in winter, even with extra blankets. The doors have been removed in the main living areas which meant even with two reverse cycle systems the home was hard to heat.

The bathroom and kitchen were modern and clean, and the house was furnished with all the basics needed for a comfortable stay.

Clean and confortable

  • 4 of 5

The house was immaculate and a lovely home . Al the beds however had very uncomfortable beds . One bed in particular had a double mattress on a queen bed .. ... a night or two and it wouldn't have been an issue but three couples stayed for a week and all of us had trouble sleeping due to the poor mattresses .

Other than that the place was beautiful and close to everything easily in waking distance to great pubs and walks

Owner's Response: Hi Allen, Thanks you for your review. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the home and we are very lucky to be positioned close to shops, restaurants and concert bus pick ups. We also keep our prices very reasonable. For your 6 guests it was $29 per person per night (cheaper than a hostel). We bought mid-range mattresses 12 months ago, in keeping with the type of accommodation we are offering. Perhaps as you stated, if you had only stayed 1 or 2 nights, you may not have had an issue and it is always hard sleeping in a new environment. The house has been listed on 2 other sites for over 12 months and we have only ever had glowing reviews, but we thank you for the feedback.
