Great location, beautiful view of the river, very comfortable accommodations.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a weekend with our 6 adult children and their spouses/girlfriends/boyfriend. The house had lots of room for everyone to gather and share meals. The bedrooms (each with a connected bathroom) were very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Very nice property.

  • 4 of 5

Nice house, large bedrooms, plenty of space, nice furnishings, nice view of river and surrounding hills and mountains. Close to shopping, restaurants and attractions.

Weather was cold as we expected, so we enjoyed a lot of family time indoors.

Nice large family space where our entire group of 12 adults could interact and still plenty of room for the baby's play pen. Kitchen was well equipped with 2 exceptions. 1) There is no dishwasher, which would be nice when cleaning up behind a large group. 2) The ice maker is broken, although the landlady did provide plenty of bagged ice, once we called about it.

I regret not calling and asking for keys for the 2 external bedrooms (#5 & 6). We did not have them and the family members using those rooms had to transfer their valuables to the main house anytime we were all going out. I just assumed they were intentionally not furnished, but the landlady emailed me asking where we left the keys after we left. Be sure to ask for them if they are not supplied.

If you have a large group this house will serve it nicely.

Our thanks to Vio Little for her hospitality.

Beautiful view in a comfortable atmosphere

  • 4 of 5

Our family was so complimentary of this home. We had enough space to spread out and make it our own over the New Year's holiday. The weather was below freezing and it was so nice to be able to stay cozy indoors in front of the lovely gas fireplace. Rooms for days and unbeatable views. Woke up to the sunrise over the Tennessee River! We regret not being able to take more advantage of the land and the fire pit due to such low temperatures. The house was clean and welcoming upon entry. There were even Christmas decorations still up, which was a nice touch. Great kitchen space and lots of kitchen items (however, no dishwasher, but sponges and cleaning products). Personally, I brought nothing but paper plates and disposable items so we wouldn't have to wash dishes all weekend. Overall a wonderful place to spend the weekend with family. Would definitely return!

Perfect for large families

  • 4 of 5

We were in town for our son's college graduation and had several family members come from different parts of the southeast to help us celebrate. The house suited our needs perfectly. The "main areas" (kitchen and living room) were great for the group as a whole and when individuals needed to get away from the group, the multiple bedrooms/bathrooms allowed for easy escapes. The property fronts the Tennessee River and has plenty of room for outdoor activities.

The only negatives noted during our two days: The home itself needs some repair work on the exterior but at this time is of no concern for visitors staying there, just an observation. The HVAC is a little touchy due to the locations of the thermostats. I feel that they are trying to cover too many zones with the units installed which leads to uneven cooling/heating (one room will be cold while others are burning up). The water would get plenty hot but the pressure left a lot to be desired.

Overall, I would recommend this property and would book it again for our family, if we were coming back to the area.

A beautiful retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our church small group (6 couples) came here for a retreat this weekend and it was absolutely perfect for us! From the open kitchen/living room floor plan, to the large bedrooms with individual bathrooms, to the great outdoor space with fire pit, it was the best. We made s many memories and will always cherish this weekend! The one suggestion (that we read in other comments so we knew going in) is to get a dishwasher installed. But this didn't take away at all from our weekend! Thanks for a great stay!!

Wedding

  • 4 of 5

We got married on Sat and stayed Friday night just girls and Saturday night couples . I loved being right next to the venue and we got our hair and makeup done at the house since we couldn’t get into the venue until 1pm. We got late check out and early check in which was even better. They will allow early or late as long as other people aren’t checking in. Had to get maintenance there for fix heating, a bulb and the fire place to turn on but everything else went smooth
