Sleeps 4 In The Forest!
About Melissa Kilgore
We are Jason and Melissa Kilgore. We met one day back in 2001 and 92 days later, we were married. We are the best of friends and love doing things together, especially traveling and exploring this beautiful world of ours. A good cup of coffee in the morning, fresh air, the sounds of nature, playing outside and enjoying a glass of wine, at the end of the day, these things put smiles on our faces when we are home or traveling. We have traveled to Europe where we did what we call the big 3, Rome, Venice and Paris. We have also traveled to Belize twice, Costa Rica twice and Cozumel twice. We love to scuba dive and so these destinations were repeaters for us. We recently returned from a 6 week camping adventure to visit 12 national parks. We don't sit still when we travel which is probably why we don't call our adventures "vacations." We call them "expeditions." We usually carry a lot of camera gear and scuba gear with us. We love meeting people and making new friends when we travel and host. We believe life is short, there are no guarantees and you should enjoy as much of it as you can, while you can.

Why Melissa Kilgore chose Brevard
We LOVE this area! We love to hike and mountain bike and so it was perfect for us. We used to come here every weekend and now we are lucky enough to live here. Brevard is a town that provides everything we need without being too big. We chose to live away from town to be more in nature but town is only a 15-20 minute drive!
What makes this Cabin unique
The driveway is long and takes you away from the main road which we really love because it makes us feel like we have our own little getaway. We back up to the future Headwaters State Forest so we take comfort in the fact that we will always have few neighbors and plenty of wildlife. We prefer small indoor living spaces and large outdoor spaces!

We had another amazing stay at Happy Fox Hollow. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and the owners. They are very accommodating, easy to communicate with and have a piece of Heaven on Earth with their cabins. The fire pits, charcoal grill, picnic table and cornhole/games are an added bonus and gives guests time to relax outside. They also have a cool rock-painting activity where you can paint rocks (leave one and take one). The art around the cabins is awesome! If you can’t tell, we love it here!
Great introduction to Tiny Home living
Our family of 4 had an impromptu trip to the mtns and this did not disappoint. While it rained most of our time, we really enjoyed the tranquility of the property and ease of getting in and out of Brevard. Surprising how big the home was with all of us in it. We will be back!
Awesome Tiny House
Such a cool spot and a really wonderful place to stay. Our host was wonderfully accommodating and hospitable! Thank you!
We had the best experience at this cabin! It’s got a newly built feel, it was clean, and it is so well stocked! Everything you could possibly think to want or need is provided for you. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft; they thought it was the coolest, coziest place! The owners were great with communication, very thorough and easy to reach. The outdoor area of the cabin is fantastic - three separate fire pits, ladder ball, corn hole, Adirondack chairs, grill, and shelter with picnic table underneath. We wanted a quiet, peaceful weekend in nature with a campfire. We got it all here! We took two hikes in DuPont National Forest; it was under a 20 minute drive away. Brevard is less than a 20 minute drive in the other direction, and we loved exploring it. We can’t say enough how fabulous this place is!
The cabins are adorable. It’s a perfect size for 2 people and small children (though we just brought our dog....he thought it was great). It got down to 36 degrees one night and it was plenty warm inside. The kitchen is well equipped. It’s very quiet and dark at night with all the lights off ( great stargazing!). It’s roughly 10 miles to downtown Brevard.
