Why Kenneth Rubin chose Orleans
Orleans is simply the best location on the Cape for a relaxing vacation with all the support services and amenities you will ever need. Priscilla Inlet and Nauset Beach are justs steps from our house -- the possibilities are endless. In town, you'll find amazing restaurants, many gourmet and "regular" grocery stores, tons of shopping, gear for rent, etc. Nauset Beach House at 22 Priscilla Rd is a unique post and beam home, warm and inviting, with lots of communal and private spaces for families to enjoy. We love it and we know you will too.
What makes this House unique

Great vacation in Nauset Heights
Great house to share for 2 families. Easy walks to the inlet and the ocean. Huge yard. Clean, comfortable house with all necessary amenities, including everything you need for the beach and playing outdoors. Loved having ping pong and a pool table in the basement. Gorgeous views from the decks, especially at sunset. Owners live next door and were incredibly nice and helpful. Only possible negative is that noise really carries throughout the house, so if anyone is in the living room watching tv or having a conversation, you can hear every word in the upstairs bedrooms. But otherwise, it was wonderful and we'd definitely come back.
Hi Andy-- I'm so pleased you enjoyed the house! Regarding your comment on the noise, the open floor plan in the kitchen/living room/dining room has its pluses and minuses for sure. Hopefully you were able to use the cottage, which is separate from the main house and pretty quiet.
Please come back and stay with us in 2020!
Ken and Carol Rubin (new owners)
We loved staying here. Very close to the Inlet and a short walk to Nauset Beach. We will definitely stay here again.
Hi Michael, so glad to hear that your family had a good time and our spacious, well stocked home near the beach met your needs. Looking forward to seeing you again! Thanks, Ann & Richard
Perfect Cape Cod rental in every way!
Coastal charm, excellent location, comfortable living/dining/sleeping, well supplied and very clean.
Owners truly strive to meet all you wants and needs...we will definately return!!!
Hi Deborah-- many thanks for your kind review. We are so happy you enjoyed the house!
As new owners, Carol and I hope to be just as attentive as Richard and Ann were. They're still next door, so we have built in support!
Hope to see you in 2020,
Our second stay.....
We stayed a second year in a row! Truly, Ann and Richard make the house ready in every sense. My family loves how the kitchen comes fully equipped. We appreciate the spaciousness and the family gathering areas. The furniture is comfortable, including the beds. The weather was not in our favor that week. However, my family enjoyed the beach.....seals were visible this year. Activities on the Cape kept us very busy. Our grandchildren are reaching school age. So, September is out next year. But, I pray that we will be able to organize a week earlier in the summer of 2019. Thanks, Richard and Ann.
P.S. Even though the house is not officially accessible (I have limited mobility) most "obstacles" were minor and I could adjust. The first floor cottage and wood floors helped me 'move' around easily.
Hi Debbie, thanks so much for your kind words! We feel great knowing that your family is building great Cape Cod memories while staying in our place. Also, I was happy to read your comments in the Guest Book at the house that you loved the flower arrangements. It was too bad that your week had poor weather but we were hoping that the ping pong and pool tables, plus the many puzzles, games and toys were plenty of rainy day fun...Hope to see your family again in June! Thanks again, Ann & Richard
Spectacular! Exceptional! Heaven!
For the past 6 years a group of five women (the Hens) gather here to celebrate our friendship... an annual event for 24 years! We hope to continue our tradition in Orleans for many more years. Richard and Ann our wonderful hosts and their home is impeccable. The pictures do not capture the true beauty of the home, they provide their guests with every possible amenity you could need for adults and children. The property is beautiful and the view from the widow's walk is breathtaking at sunset. Carol
One of the highlights of my year is the trip to Orleans to rent Richard and Ann’s “scarecrow” house (a little nickname we’ve given it due to Anne’s uncle, Ray Bolger who played the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz). You’ll see interesting memorabilia in the house! The house is beautiful, huge(!) and tastefully decorated. There is something for everyone. Rainy day? No problem. There are books, games, movies, toys and shopping. Sunny day? The beach is within walking distance. Want to see a beautiful sunset? Just walk up the circular stairway to the very top and you’ll see a spectacular view of a sunset. Bring your camera though! Want to explore? Bring your bike, the bike path is easy to get to for a nice scenic bike ride. Or just take a walk and meander through the cozy neighborhoods or just walk on the beach and collect sea glass. Anne and Richard are the most welcoming and sweet couple you will ever run into to. They’ll even tell you happenings in town. In the kitchen, there is every kitchen appliance, tool, or gadget to make a fantastic meal if you want to stay in and cook. I’m already looking forward to next year. Joyce
Ann and Richard have a beautiful home with attention to every detail. The location close to the beach (walking distance to a small cove and private access to Nauset Beach). The house is impeccably clean and thought is behind every aspect of the house from linens to the outdoor Weber gas grill, to the very large flat screen TV, to pots and pans and those gourmet Henckel knives. There are also plenty of books and DVDs, as well as a ping-pong table, beach chairs and games. Everything is top quality and the house has plenty of room for a large group and beautiful views from the rooftop deck. My friends have returned for 6 years’ of visits spent enjoying a girls’ weekend and we look forward to returning next year as well. The owners are always around when needed, but allow guests privacy during their stay. This a perfect vacation home!
Thanks Hens, we loved having you back once again; so happy you appreciated all the new upgrades to the house. We took your advice and just got a new, quality mattress for the daybed, (same as the others we purchased last year). Have a wonderful 12 months and we look forward seeing your smiling faces next year....for your Big Reunion!
