Manistee House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 6

We are a small northwestern Lake Michigan port town. Our property is located approximately eight (8) blocks south of the downtown business district. The home is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. Our town is steeped in history from the lumbering era and many of the Victorian homes have been restored to perfection. Our home has been completely remodeled and work was finished early August 2011. We feel this is a perfect place for family vacations and weekend getaways for anyone who enjoys being 'up north' -- near the lake and the great outdoors. We welcome fishermen, golfers, snowmobilers, skiers, hunters, and people who just plain like to relax!

Quiet neighborhood, close to everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Nice house with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable and quiet. Close to shopping and the beach. Dog friendly, large yard. Jon and Colleen came over on the first day to introduce themselves, but then gave us privacy for the rest of our visit, which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Simply Lovely

  • 5 of 5

We were in Manistee to visit our son and his family. Although we could have stayed with them, we preferred to have our own place. Colleen's cottage was really the perfect place for us. We felt completely at home the moment we entered. It is spotlessly clean, spacious and very well thought out with much attention to detail, and the kitchen is really well equipped. The extremely comfortable King size bed bed in the master bedroom was a huge plus and important to our comfort level. The cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by well kept homes and pretty gardens. We had the added advantage of being only a 15 minute walk from our son's home meandering through lovely neighborhoods with so many beautiful Victorian homes.

The perfect get-away in Manistee

  • 5 of 5

This past week marked my second year spending time at Colleen's little cottage. The home was immaculate and had every amenity you would need for a relaxing vacation. It is a 5-minute drive to Lake Michigan and downtown Manistee. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. And Colleen and Jon make you and your pet feel very welcome!

Our stay was Amazing!!!

We stayed with our 3 children. We had plenty of space! Anything and Everything we could have asked for was already there when we arrived! The kids loved the movies and board games! The outside patio area and BBQ were so peaceful and inviting! The area of town was quiet. We were very close to downtown and Lake Michigan! Very easy to find, owners are Super! Check in was easy! The property was so wonderful we wanted to stay for the whole summer!!!

We walked the boardwalk and downtown area, saw the sunset on Lake Michigan (breathtaking!), ventured out to the casino, was the USS Milwaukee. Meijer is a little far (you pass other grocery stores) but worth the travel. The Bungalow Inn was great for dinner and we had to have a Grinder from Mancino's!!! House of Flavors also a must (go for the 7 scoop, WE DID!!!)!!!

Our week was amazing!!! I would stay there again and again! Absolutely Amazing!!!!

Very Satisfied Customer

  • 5 of 5

This was the best VRBO rental we have had. The owners were very accommodating. The house was very clean (very important with crawling infants). This home was extremely well stocked. Even had coffee for the first morning -- thank you! If we needed anything, we just asked and Colleen either had it or knew where we could get it. Manistee is a wonderful vacation spot The beaches, the boardwalk, the Sand Dunes, parks in the area, it is a very lovely area. Great skiing close by in the winter. I would definitely recommend this home to a friend or relative.
