Located on a quiet tree lined street our Heritage Home has been in the family since the 1920s. The ground floor apartment has a private entrance and has been newly renovated.

We are centrally located and easily accessible by car, bus or sky train to everything you will want to do in the Vancouver area. It is a 10 minute bus ride to downtown Vancouver including Chinatown, Gastown, shopping and theatres. We are 10 minutes by taxi to both cruise ship terminals and also the Waterfront station of the Canada Line sky train to and from the airport. It is 5 minutes to the entrance of the #1 Highway to North Vancouver which takes you to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal to Vancouver Island. The nearby Ironworkers Bridge gives you quick access to all the local ski resorts with beautiful hiking trails in the summer and the Highway to Whistler/ Blackcomb Mountains.

Our neighborhood of Burrardview sits on the shores of Burrard Inlet and there are a number of parks within a short walking distance from our home. These include Burrard Park with it's sweeping views of the inlet and North Shore Mountains, New Brighton on the water with swimming and picnic areas and Hastings Park with racecourse, casino and Playland's heritage rollercoaster.

About Jacqueline Hansen

We have 6 children all living in the Vancouver area and 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. We love to travel and also enjoy music, reading and gardening. Two of our children are tour guides in the Vancouver area so we have access to any information regarding tours, attractions etc in our area. We love our little corner of the City and think it is one of Vancouver's best and would be delighted to share it with you! On a hot summer day come home to the cool breeze off the water and relax in your home away from home!!!

Why Jacqueline Hansen chose East Side

Our property has been in the family for three generations. Bill's grandparents purchased the house in the early 1920s. Although there have been some new houses built many of the houses in our neighborhood are also heritage properties. This along with the Japanese Plum trees that line Trinity Street give us a feeling of history and make us very happy to live here.

Perfect for Families

The apartment and location are perfect for a family with young children. The set up for the apartment was great and you could tell that Jacquie put a lot of thought into all the little touches. A wonderful quiet little neighbourhood with a real family feel. There was a wonderful park just a 2 minute walk away and the main street with lots of shopping and restaurants was about a 12 minute walk (with parks along the way). We found that half our time was spent going downtown (15 minute drive) and the other half was going into the mountains so the location was a perfect middle ground.

Jacquie and her family were wonderful to talk with and very accommodating.

Owner's Response: Our main objective is to try to create a "home Away from home" so I was very pleased when the father of this family told me that his little son kept saying "let's just go back to Jacquie's house" We have a collection of kids books and the little playground is very close so I hope it helps me a trip with children more pleasant - I know from experience that travelling with children can be difficult but I think you will find our place is very "child friendly". This was a lovely family and we hope they will come back again.

It was a clean well kept property. Very enjoyable.

If being down town is not a must, but quite is, this is the place for you. A nice back yard to sit or bbq in piece. Clean, quaint living quarters. Overall a nice place to stay and just fifteen minutes from down town. The owners kept to them selves while making themselves available for anything you might need. Also available was material on the area in the form of binders I case one got bored or just hungry. Would definitely coincident saying again!

Cozy well maintained property in a super location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy property. It's clean, well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable and the owner made us feel very welcome. Not having a car, we found this to be an excellent location-only one short block to the number 4 bus which is a 15 minute ride to downtown, and only a 15 minute walk to Hastings Street which has numerous restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. We look forward to staying here again.

We are a very short drive to the local ski/hiking area (10 minutes) and can see the local mouuntains from our house. There is ice skating at the local ski resort and in summer Grouse Mountain has 2 bears that live up at the top. The views from the top of Grouse are a must see. In late afternoon you can see the city by day and then take in the sunset and city lights at night. A ten minute drive home and because we are also located 10 minutes from downtown and all the theatres and restaurants there you can go out for the evening! I think our location is perfect for seeing Vancouver and area.,
