About Paul Galea
I am a part-time senior officer in the Australian Army and travel within Australia and overseas quite frequently. I love escaping to my property at the end of each day and on the weekends to get some down-time and burn off energy by cutting firewood, gardening, and looking after my orchards. I grew up about 60km from our property and love this part of Victoria.
Paul Galea purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Paul Galea chose Flowerdale
We chose to buy this property because of the house which was designed by well known Victorian architect, Robert Marshall. The house makes great use of reclaimed timbers and passive air flows to achieve cooling during our summer months (Dec-Feb). The house is heated by a beautiful log fire during winter. The house is located on 30 acres of hilly country with wonderful views to the adjacent hills. We are located in that part of Victoria well known for its black angus cattle production and the wines grown in the not too distant Yarra Valley.
What makes this Cottage unique
You will love the quiet and privacy this property has to offer.

Perfect time away with my partner, had a beautiful time.
Amazing space. Loved the views. Loved the country air. Loved the scenery and farm animals. Paul and his wife Tracy (?) were very friendly and polite and even though Paul's dog was stung by a new, he ensured we had the best stay by cleaning and refilling the spa.
Great space, great host, zero complaints.
We might have left some rubbish outside accidentally so apologies for that Paul!
My partner and I loved it. Very thoughtful hosts.
Amazing weekend getaway!
We had an incredible stay at Tathra Cottage. It totally exceeded our expectations. The outdoor shower, spa, and fresh breakfast left for us to cook were favourites of ours. Left feeling very relaxed and can’t wait to come back!
Relaxing and full of charm
Beautiful location. The outdoor spa was so relaxing and warm. The space has everything you need to relax and unwind with superb 360 degree views. Paul was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast provisions were tasty and generous. Highly recommend.
How's the serenity
Had a fantastic weekend here with our doggo. The cottage has every luxury you could want, but still maintains an early era charm. Lounging in the spa listening only to the warbling of magpies and the rustle of eucalyptus leaves is a long way from office life. A real rest and recharge experience.
