About Desleigh and Ashley Davies
We are Ashley and Desleigh Davies. We have grown to love the Blue Mountains and truly delight in preparing Burnbank House to provide the very best experience for all our guests.
Desleigh and Ashley Davies purchased this House in 2013
Why Desleigh and Ashley Davies chose Wentworth Falls
We had been searching for a suitable property of some historic significance to undertake a restoration project. On Saturday 6th April 2013, a well attended auction was held onsite at Burnbank, 166 Great Western Highway, Wentworth Falls and Ashley placed the winning bid. We engaged the services of heritage architect, Margie Fallon of Integrated Design and plans were soon underway to restore, renew and renovate this valuable heritage property. Work on the property began in August 2013 and guests will find the venture well documented in the project album located in the house.
What makes this House unique
Burnbank House is ideally located close to Wentworth Falls village, the falls and walking tracks.

In terms of a review, a great place for 4 adult couples, close to the pub and a short drive to Leura and Wentworth Falls. I highly recommend this residence.
Well sited, and good for checking out the whole area
The house has been beautifully renovated. As Queenslanders we picked the right week, because the next week it was snowing in the area. The house has a powerful heating system that we appreciated. It was well set up for a group of ladies having a get-together. The house is a short walk across the main road to the Wentworth Falls shopping centre where they have everything you need. We especially liked the patisserie, german flavoured offerings which were particularly nice. Lucky we did not discover it until towards the end of our stay.
A beautiful home away from home
We had a lovely stay. The house is very tastefully decorated and super clean! Didn't want for anything. The house was nice and cosy warm with the central heating. Kids loved the table tennis table in the garage. Netflix was a bonus. Given the house is on the main highway there is some noise when trying to sleep at night however I managed to sleep OK.
Beautifully restored Arts & Crafts home in a convenient location
We booked this property after seeing the stunning photos and were not disappointed!
It has been lovingly restored in the original Arts & Crafts style but still has all the modern conveniences. The spacious house was spotlessly clean and and conveniently located, only 5 mins stroll to the shops and cafes of Wentworth Falls village and the picturesque Charles Darwin walk. Despite its location on the Great Western Highway it was very quite inside and the road noise was not intrusive.
Desleigh and Ashley, the owners, were extremely helpful and Desleigh even made a 2 hour round trip to deliver a portacot after a mix up with the booking! We would not hesitate in recommending this property to any of our family or friends.
Absolutely fantastic, beautifully restored grand mountain home
Our yearly family get together was a fabulous success, thanks to the excellent accommodation and facilities offered at Burnbank. The house has been tastefully and comfortably restored, but incorporating all the mod cons. An absolute best choice for our group of 8 adults. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linen is gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped and we easily catered for our group. Even though the house is situated on the highway the double glazing blocks most of the noise and no one complained of disturbed sleep. The outdoor area was where we ate our breakfast and lunches as the weather was lovely. The dining room was large enough for us all for dinner.
Being within walking distance to the shops was a bonus for early morning coffee runs. Thanks again, we will return
Comfortable, cosy home
A very comfortable home! Great central heating & really suits an extended family situation! Though you can hear the traffic it is not intrusive!!!
