Owner/Property Manager purchased this cabin in 1994
We traveled to this area of Wisconsin since childhood, and wanted our own children to enjoy it as we had. The Pike Lake chain is beautiful and unspoiled. We still see Bald Eagles and Osprey while out boating. Deer come to the window while we are dining.
Thank you so much for sharing your piece of North Woods Paradise! We had a great time and will definitely be back again. And we promise next time with more than a days notice! :) Thanks again,
We had a wonderful time. The house was cozy and comfortable to stay in for 6 people. The grounds are well taken care of and the views of the lake and breathtaking! We had such a good time that we hope that this is our vacation spot for many years to come!
This cabin was well suited for city people who don't "rough it" in the north woods. We had 2 couples & 3 under 3 yrs. and we all slept comfortably. We had extended family from the area that came for dinners during our stay and there was plenty of seating areas. We even hosted a Badger game thanks to the amenities of a great TV, comfortable couches, air conditioning & my personal favorite a dishwasher! Everyone had a great time in this cabin because it was as it was described and we hope to return in the future.
The cabin was well equipped and we had plenty of room for our four teenagers. The washer/dryer were great to have and the wifi worked well.
The dock and swimming area was great (after we got over the root beer colored water). I would not rent the pontoon again as the motor did not work well nor have enough power.
Owners were around part of the week and are friendly/helpful.
Cabin was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We appreciated having a washer and dryer too! It was a beautiful, calm lake and the kids loved playing on the pier and the water. The only thing we would have loved is a screened-in porch! The mayflies and mosquitoes were thick enough that we actually couldn't spend any time outside except for out on the water. The owners were next door for part of the time we were up there, and they were very helpful and friendly!! Overall, we would definitely stay there again :)
Nice people to work with. There was a local person to call if problems/questions, and to welcome us.
Cabin had most everything you need. Air conditioning and washing machine were great to have. The main complaint we had was the wicker furniture. Wicker furniture belongs in a patio, not a living room. It was very uncomfortable (the kids didn't even want to sit on it).
We also had problems with the WIFI. The signal was weak and kept disconnecting us, but was better when we went outside. It was better outside because we believe the router was in the other cabin next door.
The swimming platform and firepit were great! We didn't catch a lot of fish, but we had fun trying. We also brought a screen room and would recommend this because the mosquitos up north in the summer are terrible. We were able to sit outside at night with the screen room which was real nice!
Overall...nice cabin, great location!
Our goal was a quiet, restful retreat, and our expectations were wonderfully met. Our 10 days in this clean, well-equipped cabin saw the transition from the last winter blast of snow to the final melting of the ice on the lake and signs of spring. Bald eagles, loons, deer in the front yard, lots of hiking in the area--a perfect setting for us. The high-speed internet worked perfectly.
