Layback Ville - Watch the world go by

Bedrooms 2
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 1 - 5 nights

About the property

Layback Ville is a cozy 2 bedroom cottage set in a peaceful location, with a queen bed and a double bed available. Walking distance to town, perfect for a couple to have some time away from city life, where you can sit on the veranda and enjoy a glass of wine or 2 from the local region and watch the world go by. The Layback ville has beautiful vista of the river and the local town.

Denmark marks the spot where forests of towering trees give way to white sandy beaches. Take a drive or walk among ancient karri tree giants, relax by the emerald waters of William Bay, feast on local wine and gourmet produce, or fish one of the largest inlets on the south coast.

You can escape to this romantic old timber milling town within a day, taking the 4 hour drive south from Perth or the 45 minute drive west from Albany.

Guided wine and forest tours are available, or you can hit the scenic Scotsdale Tourist Drive. Along the way, get close to nature in the Harewood Forest, stop for a tasting at a cellar door, berry and herb farm, cheese or chocolate and toffee factory, and perhaps allow a little time to indulge the senses at the Sandalwood Factory.

At the coast, the picturesque Wilson Inlet beckons you to swim, fish, sail, water ski, surf or windsurf. The gentler waters of the river invite you to hire a canoe. While Lights Beach lures you with the promise of hooking herring, salmon and bream.

Venture east and you'll find yourself in the stunning seascapes of William Bay National Park. Here, the calm, clear shallows of Greens Pool tempt you to bathe, snorkel, dive and take a walk to the curious Elephant Rocks. Look out for migrating whales along the coast from July to October. Or take the short drive to The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, taking you 40 metres above the forest floor for a bird's eye view of Western Australia's 400 year old tingle tree giants.

Back in town, there are reminders of Denmark's humble beginnings at the historic fire station, school, hotel and the Old Butter Factory.

A great relaxing property.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief three night stay as the cottage was just like home with all necessary amenities and fitted out superbly. It has great views and is quite close to Denmark township.

Its a winner:)

We loved staying here, the location is great as you can walk into town, although its a unit it is very private with a lovely view and there are plenty of bids to watch right outside the front windows. The house has is spacious, has everything you need and all it is good value for the price. We would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our time at layback ville. It had everything you required for a very comfortable stay. The interior was wonderful. Very comfortable bed. Excellent position for exploring Denmark and surrounding areas. Easy walk into town. Quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Denmark.
