Seashell Cottage provides an unpretentious, relaxing and restorative beachside bolt-hole for all seasons, equally suitable for families and couples.
The rustic 1930's exterior of the cottage reflects the character and atmosphere of the period and is contrasted by a bright and breezy and contemporary interior. French doors open onto a spacious deck from where the focus is on the spectacular views, taking in Mount Wellington, Hobart, Tinderbox and South Arm.
Seashell Cottage is set in a private, rambling, coastal garden, with everything you could possibly need at Dennes Point conveniently close by. A pedestrian track adjacent to the property facilitates a five minute walk to Nebraska Beach; John Wardle-designed Café and Art at the Point is within pleasantly do-able walking distance. The cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island. Tourist information is at your disposal before you head out.
Dennes Point is ideal for those seeking an active holiday, with swimming, tennis, fishing, kyaking, cycling, boating and snorkeling all options. Nebraska Beach is safe and clean. Those inclined to do absolutely nothing but relax can throw open Seashell
Cottage's French doors, laze on the deck and just take in the sublime views.
* Please note that the winery, surf spot and national park are located on south Bruny and that guests will need to provide their own sporting equipment.

A rustic beach shack with style and views!
This property is a rustic beach shack, the original part of the building is 1930’s and has so much character. We loved the bright open living, dining and kitchen that wraps around the large central bedroom. However it is the 180 degree view of the channel and the mouth of the Derwent River that is the most wonderful aspect of staying at Sheashell cottage. We soaked in the view with every tea, coffee, wine and local ale. Angela is a warm and welcoming host and has filled the house with interesting books on art, history, literature and food. This property is comfortable, simple living with some tweaks of style and comfort such as the excellent beds, lovely dinner wear and tasteful furnishing. We loved our time at Denns point, the beach was perfect for our 6 year old, the cafe serves fabulous food...we would love to stay here again.
Wonderful spot - we hope to return!
Thankyou. We had a wonderful few nights stay at Seashell cottage with friends. The location is excellent with all day sun and stunning views up the river. The cottage was clean, welcoming and has a lovely feel.
We strolled to the local cafe for delicious fresh fish & chips one night and enjoyed the sunsets from the deck while feasting on Island produce & wine.
We would have happily stayed longer!!
Views are stunning
Loved the position and our hostess was very generous with supplies. Beds were great. Some flyscreens are needed as flies and mosquitoes were a problem
