Cost cottage sleeps 6 walking distance to town centre
Situated in the renowned High Country of North East Victoria, the Jamieson region is one of the most romantic, historic and picturesque areas in the state...
Cottage 1 with its mixture of natural timbers, leather and rich earthy colours, offers a cosy, rustic experience for guests. Its shaded outdoor space and veranda provides a lovely, restful space and the cottage is within walking distance to the general store and pub. The Jamieson river lies 70 meters from your no car required!
Two bedrooms provide accommodation for up to 6 guests in a queen and four bunk beds.
A fully equipped kitchen including a full size fridge and microwave offer the option of dining in and a slow burning wood fire adds to the ambience. Spilt system heating and air conditioning is provided for your comfort.
The historic town of Jamieson is a mecca for outdoor activity! Both the Goulburn and Jamieson rivers are favourite spots for fishing, gold panning, kayaking and just laze in the shade on the riverbank with a good book and a glass of wine!
There are many walking and 4WD tracks and wildlife is abundant.
In the winter months the weather is crisp and local general store and cafe with their slow burning fires provide a cosy place for coffee and cake, meeting up with the locals or just reading the local papers. Mount Buller is 50 mins away so Jamieson provides an economical option for families wanting to spend the day on the slopes and have spacious, comfortable accommodation away from the crowds.
Please note: Should you choose to use the wood fire, wood & kindling can be purchased from the general store at $15/bag

Had a nice stay in this cottage
Kitchen full of cooking utensils, large fridge etc
Was too cold the aircon didnt heat the room an we couldnt close the blinds in the lounge area. Glad we had electric blankets.
Great location in the town
Thanks Nelle for your feedback....all fixed now!
Nice and tidy little cottage but needs some love. The name Jamieson Cottages by the River is a little misleading as the cottages all face a pretty busy road so not a lot of privacy. Gardens lovely.
Hi Kathleen and thanks for the review. Jamieson Cottages are indeed on the River! In fact your cottage is 70 meters from our beautiful Jamieson River...hence the title. We appreciate different perspectives on our cottages but rest assured the cottages are uniquely situated and lovingly cared for!
