About Timothy Kane
Hello there! My name is Timothy and my partner's name is Rodolfo. We have lived in DC for the past 11 years and love our city! Rodolfo owns his own home-remodeling company, which helped out a great deal (!) when we decided to create the DC Birch Bungalow. For my part, I do my own type of construction community around diversity and inclusion at the Multicultural Center at The George Washington University :-) We love to travel and know what it feels like to receive an open and authentic welcome from those we meet in other places. We try to "pay it forward" by hosting guests here in DC in a way that feels welcoming and caring. Thanks so much for looking into the DC Birch Bungalow and we hope to host you soon! Timothy & Rodolfo

Why Timothy Kane chose Northeast Washington
We care about our neighbors and do our best to share our sense of community pride. One way I share my community pride is by creating and maintaining a garden in front of our home. To me, our garden is a gift to ourselves and to our neighbors. We purposely took down the wire fence that surrounded our front yard in order to have our open space reflect our openness to getting to know those who share our neighborhood. So, when I plant, water and weed our garden, I chat with neighbors and those walking appreciate the compliments (and photos taken!) of our garden in bloom. So, in that same spirit of openness and pride, we invite you to join us at the DC Birch Bungalow! Timothy & Rodolfo
What makes this Apartment unique
Our 1925 brick home has great character, which we have added to over the past three years. What we like most about our home is our ability to welcome family, friends and neighbors over to share food and fun. While the DC Birch Bungalow was under construction last year, if offered the perfect space for hosting our Halloween Party Haunted House :-) Fun gatherings like that make our home perfect for us and we feel blessed to be some of the newest members of our diverse neighborhood community. Timothy, the property owner was an outstanding host and DC answer man! He was ready to answer our questions and was such an outstanding host. The bungalow is comfortable, clean, quite and a quick uber or scooter ride away from downtown. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon.
DC Birch Bungalow
The DC Birch Bungalow was a charming, comfortable, clean apartment that made our stay in DC very enjoyable. It is close to the metro and less than a 15 minute drive to the museums downtown. It was easy to find street parking with the provided parking pass. Union Market is an easy walk from the apartment and is a great place to get quick meals and delicious coffee. Timothy was out-of-town during our stay but checked-in on us periodically and quickly responded to our texts. It was great to know he was so responsive though we really did not need anything as we did not lack for anything during our stay. His attention to every detail was noticed and appreciated and we would highly recommend his apartment :)
DC Birch Bungalow - a lovely sojourn!
We so enjoyed our stay at the DC Birch Bungalow! A great location near Galludet University and the Union Market, very clean, well-appointed, and managed by a host who gives great thought to his guests' comfort and convenience. It was HOT in DC but we were cool and comfortable inside and the full kitchen and mini washer/dryer were most helpful in managing the heat. We had everything we needed and a great bed too. Vastly superior to a hotel, private, quiet and well-managed, our first choice to stay when we return to DC. Thanks for a lovely sojourn.
Timothy’s DC Birch Bungalo was an absolute jewel! Very clean, perfect size, everything updated in modernized and in a very unique neighborhood. Very quiet, And peaceful. Barely a car on the street. It was a great transition for me beginning a new career in Washington DC before moving into my townhouse on Capitol Hill. Thanks again Tim!
Timothy was not in town for our visit but checked in with us and gave us helpful advice for things to do in the city. It was an excellent stay and would definitely go back for our next visit!
Nice Oasis Each Day
We loved the Birch Bungalow. It was a really lovely property that had everything we needed, and it was quiet and in a nice, safe-feeling and friendly neighbourhood. We used the Capital Bikeshares A LOT - pretty much rode everywhere we went - because there aren’t really any close transportation options. This may not suit some people. There was a corner store a few blocks away (where one can also pick up a bike) and an excellent Whole Foods was about a 15-minute walk. We did have some issues with TV reception in the basement but we didn’t come to DC to watch TV so wasn’t a big deal for us. Overall we had an excellent experience with this property.
