Perfect Place To Stay For a Busy Trip
My husband and I are from Brooklyn. We came into town for two weddings in one weekend and this apartment was absolutely perfect for our trip. The pictures on line don't do the inside justice. It's really cute and absolutely perfect for a weekend where we were running around Brooklyn and essentially needed a place to shower, sleep and get ready.
I would definitely recommend for a trip to the city. I'm sure we will be back!
My daughter and I visited New York and our stay at the Bedford-Stukvesant apartment was adequate. The building and the hallways of this apartment are in pretty rough shape but the kitchen and bath in the apartment have been upgraded and are fully functional with everything needed for self sufficiency provided and working. It was all clean when we arrived. Just a three block walk to the subway was convenient for the City and the Airport. The neighborhood is Ok but there is not much to look at from the apartment.
Great place at a good price
The place was very comfortable and plenty warm during the very cold time of year. Karl was great, very polite and accommodating. Great value in the city that never sleeps.
Very poor and delaptated building, broken window frames and dirty
The experience was short lived as the owner did not turn up to allow us access to the building, the rental agreement stated we could not get access until 3 pm, so four of us turned up at 3 pm and waited over an hour in the street with our suitcases and personal belongings, we had to a passing police car, who advised us to leave and find other accommodation as it wasn't the safest area at night, we had attracted quite a crowd as you can imagine and did feel bit uncomfortable and uneasy, so had to book into a last minute hotel in Manhattan which cost us most of our spending money, this had a huge impact on the holiday thereafter, everything was managed on a budget and unfortunately ruined a long awaited holiday, do not book this poorly run and what looked from the outside derelict house
The best thing about our stay was the shower, the water was always hot, but it leaked
The steps, floors we not safe. The beds and linen for them were very old and worn out. The Walls and ceilings has holes in them. Ants or some sort of small bugs were very vesibal in various rooms.. Everyone went home with bites. I thinks someone should inspect these rentals before they are put on the market, and if this one had been inspected, I don't know how this one mad it.. I have pictures, not sure how to post then.. Also when I arrived the person never gave me a walk like the contract stated and when I left I had to ask the person to look over the place before I left. The owner did stop by a few hours later to welcome us witch was appreciated.
Great Price & Good Neighborhood
The neighborhood was nice and we felt safe, We walked everywhere we needed to go, There is a grocery store right around the corner which was very convenient, We came in on Thanksgiving Night and Carl & His son met us to show us around the place, The apartment is very nice, well equipped and everything you need, You do have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, Which we didn't mind but some couples might, The beds weren't that comfortable but manageable. Carl is a very friendly and I recommended the apartment 100%.
Approximately 15 minutes walking distance to local restaurants, shopping, A or J train stations & 20 minutes from Manhattan via train. Minutes away from downtown Brooklyn. Laundry Mat, super market and bus route (B15) just around the corner. Other Activities: Flea Market Downtown Brooklyn on Saturdays & Sundays
