Arnold House - A Country Retreat - Anastasia Room

Bedrooms 1
Property type hotel

About the property

A gorgeous country retreat which sits on 10 acres, nestled in the hills of Buffalo, South Gippsland.

Two luxury Queen sized Bedrooms available, each with private Bathrooms. This listing is for the 'Anastasia Suite' only- for the 'Clementine Suite' visit

Offering traditional B&B experience with breakfast included.

Situated next to the Great Southern Rail Trail, 15 minutes drive from Fish Creek & Meeniyan, and 30 minutes from the beautiful Wilson's Promontory.

Both guest suites are in a separate wing of our house. A booking in the Anastasia suite includes 1 queen bedroom, 1 bathroom, and access to communal areas including a study, conservatory and spacious guest lounge room, including TV and DVD facilities. There is a kitchenette for all guests that serves as a 'heat and eat' space. We also have a BBQ and outdoor seating for guests to use, however we are happy to suggest some of the many superb restaurants and Gastropubs in the area. Continental/cooked breakfast is included and is served in the main dining room.

Guests have their own private entrance. Washing machine/dryer may only be used if stay is longer than 2 nights.

My husband and I will be present throughout your stay, if you need anything at all we are more than happy to help - We enjoy interaction with guests but also believe guests require a high level of privacy as well. Guests can use the outdoor swimming pool and towels can be provided.

There is an acre of garden with stunning views and lots of Australian bird species and wildlife. We encourage all our guests to wander around the garden and experience the gorgeous sunsets.

The Great Southern Rail Trail Buffalo access point is a short ride from the property. We provide a few bikes for guests to use if they haven't brought their own.

The region of South Gippsland includes many gorgeous towns, both rural and coastal. They are all very accessible by car and there is even a bus service that runs direct from Melbourne.

The towns surrounding our property all have something unique to discover, and with the stunning Wilson's Promontory National Park just a short drive away, you can explore the breathtaking nature walks and beaches that Victoria has to offer.

Comforts of home, away from home.

First time at staying at B&B and I must admit I was a little skeptical.

We couldn't have had a better first experience.

We received the warmest welcome from Pauline on our arrival, and were even treated to her home made scones that she whipped up whilst we settled in to our wing.

There was no question of privacy, but it was also nice to have the interaction with Pauline and Ivan when we shared the common areas, a lovely down to earth couple. Highlights where Pauline's mouth watering breakfasts and a Ivan's tour of the property on the morning of my birthday. (Smile from ear to ear)

We had a private bathroom and toilet, study and lounge area. All including our cozy bedroom were spotless and dust free.

The grounds in general offer stunning views and plenty of space to stretch your legs and get some fresh air.

The proximity to sites and towns was perfect for us. We were able to visit 9 different towns in the 5 nights we stayed there, all were between 10-40mins away and an easy drive. Most spots were less than 25mins away so we could easily see a few of Gippsland's treasures in a day, and that's without rushing around.

Thanks again to out lovely hosts.Looking forward to heading back for a winter getaway.

Lovely property

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Arnold House. A lovely property which felt like a home away from home. Hospitable and friendly owners. We were happy to sit and chat with them over the delicious home-cooked breakfast. Thanks Pauline and Ivan - we look forward to another visit in the future.

Delightful stay

  • 5 of 5

For a fleeting visit to Gippsland and Wilsons Prom it was a beautiful and welcoming base for the area. The property had stunning views and such a relaxing and welcoming feel with an amazingly comfortable bed to rest our aching hiking legs. Pauline and Ivan were wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we even had Pauline's fabulous brownies while we read our books in the conservatory. Bliss!
