Hosts wonderful and property was clean and comfort

  • 3 of 5

The hosts were amazing and couldnt do enough for us. The property was situated in a quiet small farm and we enjoyed the peaceful mornings on the veranda with tne animals around us. However the small cottage is in need of some renovations to increase the bathroom and kitchen space and enhance the lovely setting.

Friendly and comfortable farmstay

  • 5 of 5

This was our first experience at a farmstay. It was just my husband, me and our teenage son. We chose Clunes Farmstay because of the location as we wanted to explore the surrounding area being close to Clunes, Creswick, Daylesford and Ballarat.

We had a wonderful time checking out the chickens, ducks, ponies, alpacas and sheep. The cottage was small but comfortable and air conditioned. We spent time sitting on the porch with a cup of tea, relaxing and watching the chicken's chase each other.

We weren't sure if our son would enjoy being there thinking this was for young families, but the owners were amazing and spent time chatting to him and showing him tricks with the ponies. He loved it.

The owners were incredibly friendly and inviting and we even got to keep the eggs the next morning. I highly recommend this farmstay. Thank you to Dennis and Marg.

Very enjoyable experience

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time at a farmstay and with a 7 year old and an 18month old I can say that the experience was very enjoyable. The owners of the farm are extremely accommodating and our son was lucky enough to play with their 3 grandchildren who were staying for the weekend! It was definitely the highlight of his school holidays. The owners went above and beyond for a comfortable and memorable stay in their farm.

Aside from the actual farm itself, Clunes has a gorgeous little town centre with so much history that we actually ended up spending a full day there looking at the old mining fields and the BOOK STORES! We picked up a couple of 100 year old books at their bookstores from the town centre and they even have a couple of upmarket cafe/restaurants (with great quality food) that we were able to sit down and have a bite & break there.

I'd highly recommend Clunes farm for any family looking to do something different and totally escape from the fast paced city and suburbs of Melbourne.

Thank you Dennis and Marg :)
