It consists of 2 sleeping areas with one queen size bed in the loft area, and queen murphy bed in the living room. Apartment includes modern kitchen with granite counter tops and a bathroom with a bathtub. The apartment includes a/c, 2 TVs, Cable service, Internet, hair dryer, laundry in the building. 900 sq ft with 12ft ceilings. It is located 100 ft from CPW and close to Natural History Museum and MET and CMOM. Surrounded many famous restaurants and stores (Zabars) and walking distance to world reknowned Dakota building and many other famous sights. Four subway stops from theater district. As you can see this landmarked historic district has something for everyone.Dogs are permitted on case by case basis.

A perfect oasis on the Upper West Side. What a great place to chill after a busy day in Manhattan! Good stores and restaurants within a block or two, subway 1 blk away, and easy walking distance to one of the best grocers on Earth...Zabar's!

Owner was very easy to deal with and quick to reply to any concern. Given the chance, I would definitely stay there again!

The best

Had an amazing stay here with my husband and 2 kids. We arrived almost 2 hours early and the hosts were gracious enough to accommodate. The apartment is beautiful with a lot of nice details. The kids had so much fun sleeping in the murphy bed and it was so great (and rare in NYC) to have another level! My husband and I loved the privacy upstairs in the loft. The kitchen had everything we needed, which is a huge plus travelling with kids. The location could not be better - walking distance to Natural History Museum, the Metropolitan Museum and CMOM! Renee was very helpful as far as the fun things to do with the kids and recommended several family-friendly restaurants. We stayed 5 weeks here and it felt like home. Plan to stay here again on the next work assignment! "

Multiple problems

We arrived after confirming to find the previous renter still in the apartment and unhappy because he expected to be there one additional night. Michel told us it would be an hour to clean but we were not allowed in until after 6pm. I sent a request last November for a quote on 3 adults/1 child but I did not receive a response. Plans changed and in April I sent a new email request for 4 adults and 1 child. Michel responded to that email and we continued to reply back and forth on that email. When we arrived with the cash that we had confirmed was the remainder due, he pulled out the Nov email and said that the price was higher because he had quoted on the 3 adults/1 child request, even though we had the complete email chain showing the request was based on the 4 adult/1child request. Then he said he had transposed numbers on our deposit so he wanted additional $ for this as well. Between these two items he required an additional nearly $500 in cash or he would charge our credit card for the supposed balance + surcharge for using a credit card. We were charged well over 25% more than the rates listed.

The apartment is in a great location and a very safe neighborhood, just around to the corner to the subway and ½ block to Central Park. The listing says it has a queen bed in the loft, queen murphy bed, and queen pullout sofa bed. The sofa bed is the two seat sofa in the picture. This is NOT queen sized, maybe slightly larger than a twin. The loft has very low ceilings so my 6’1” tall husband and son were not able to stand up in the loft. Half of the loft floor is about an inch higher than the rest causing multiple stubbed toes. The spiral staircase to the loft has padding duct taped to the steps where people obviously hit their head coming out of the bathroom. The loft was not cooled by the window air conditioner. They did bring us a fan but it didn’t really help. Kitchen is nice and equipped for basic cooking but not for baking or cooking anything other than basic. There were plenty of towels and sheets. Internet was spotty. My son had some college work to do and couldn’t keep an internet connection long enough. Sunday morning Michel knocked on our door to show the apartment to someone. He did not call ahead and we were showering and getting dressed so this was extremely inconvenient. We were disappointed in this apartment to say the least. Giving 2 stars for location.

Owner's Response: The Rental fees are calculated based on the info you put in your inquiry, When this renter input his information he delideretly wrote 3 Adults 1 Child under the age of 6, and this is how the total was calculed. The apt is advertised having 2 sleeping area with a queen size bed in eace one. The mximum capacity on this unit is 4 people and a child under the age of six (in provided pack-n-play) We also have a pull out sofa in case somene doesn't want to use the Murphy bed NOT in addition to it. We agreed that the check-in at 3PM. However Susan arrived at 12:30 while the previous renter was in the midst of checking out. I informed Susan that the tenant requested a late checkout but the apt will be available at 3PM (as previously agreed). To accommodate Susan's family, I stored their bags in my apt until they returned at 4pm. The husband and one of their teenage daugther came to get the keys and then returned 45 min latter to pick up their bags. Needless to say the apt was ready at 3PM. When I stop by to pick up the outstanding balance (which was due 30 days prior to move-in) because their credit card was DECLINED AGAIN, I was surprised to see 6 grownups in the apt. The "child" was 16 years old and over 6 feet. I showed them the contract and the correspondence chain that clearly indicated ONLY 3 adults and 1 child (under 6). I also told them that this apt can't comfortably accomodate so many people and we would have never reserved it for 6 adults. They begged us to stay and that they don't mind as long as we don't charge extra. Obviosly there are additional costs invloved when there are so many people, but they claimed that they had no money and refused to pay. We only collected the balance based on the original agreement NOT 25% more. I have no idea how Susan came up with this accusation. and are very disappointed about the false allegation. This apartment located right above my apt and througout the night and early morning I heard lots of commotion. Around 10AM I knocked on their door to check see what was going on since other tenants were complaining and they refused to open it. After a few knocks they finally opened the door and I saw 9 people in the apt with sleeping bags all over. I confronted the renter since I was very disappointed with their conduct.

Great place for a short or long stay.

Perfect location for a couple willing to be close to the park for early walks, 5 minutes to the underground with connections to every place. The owner, Michel was very prompt to provide any help. Apartment welmwell maintained with brand new equipment, cutlery, towels and all what needed. We recommend it to,friends.!!

Dal vivo la casa supera le immagini pubblicate!! Appena arrivati, scesi dal taxi, abbiamo trovato ad aspettarci sulle scale l'amministratore dell'appartamento. Simpatico e disponibile ci ha mostrato e spiegato il funzionamento dell'appartamento. La mattina avevano appena consegnato un divano nuovo che sostituisce quello rosso delle foto. La posizione è comodissima: a 1 minuto dalla metro linee A,B,C,D che portano ovunque in pochi minuti. La casa ha veramente tutto, pentole, piatti, asciugapiatti, detergente lavastoviglie ...compresa la carta igienica.. ed è pulita. Nel seminterrato ci sono una lavatrice ed un asciugatrice che funzionano a quarti di dollaro. La zona è tranquillissima e molto silenziosa, cosa strana per New York. Attraversando la strada si entra direttamente a Central park. La mattina del secondo giorno è venuto a presentarsi il proprietario che abita al piano di sotto. ci ha dato alcuni consigli e molta disponibilità. l'unica pecca le tubature che quando parte, solo quando parte, il riscaldamento fanno rumore, ma dopo il primo spavento, non le senti quasi più. Ci è dispiaciuto lasciare l'appartamento che, anche se non grandissimo, ci ha fatto vivere comodamente la nostra vacanza. i nostri figli erano entusiasti del soppalco. Nelle vicinanze c'è di tutto. dal supermercato, a pochi passi, starbucks, parrucchiere e diversi ristoranti. quando torneremo a New York non avremo dubbi su dove soggiornare.
