About the property

Enjoy unobstructed panoramic views of the majestic Monashee Mountains from nearly every room in this luxury slopeside chalet. Conveniently located in Rock Ridge Estates right on the Woodcutter ski run and just 200 yards from Big White Village, the home boasts 4 bedrooms in 2200 square feet. Built in the Arts and Crafts style with exquisite attention to detail and impeccably decorated by Treehouse Designs, this is truly the most beautiful property available on the mountain today.

You will be enchanted by the gourmet kitchen, the 200-year-old wood floors, the hand-pounded iron railings and the sumptuous bed linens. The estate offers more than enough room for 10 adults to sleep, eat and play in ultra comfort and style. And the location is -- quite simply impossible to beat: just steps from the village with a ski path literally to your door. And did we mention the views?

Further Details

'This is definitely one of the nicest homes on the mountain. This house is amazing. Jennifer Kiefer and the property manager took care of every detail. If I ever go back there is no place I would rather stay.'

- Conrad Notton, Seattle, WA

'This house is faultless. We really enjoyed our stay here. There was more than enough room for our two families. The slopes are right out the back door and you can literally ski off the run up to the back step. And the view of the sunrise from the breakfast table on a clear day is gorgeous. Next time we go to Big White we won't hesitate to contact the Kiefers, who were so incredibly helpful with all the arrival details and resort information, so we can stay in their fabulous home again.'

Nice chalet

  • 5 of 5

Overall a nice chalet in a central location just downhill from the village (5 min walk). Ski in for sure, but the ski out required a short hike up through a neighbors driveway to get onto the green run behind. The chalet was clean although some of the sheets on the beds were worn with holes and some towels had stains. The bathrooms were in great condition.

The design of the chalet, with the boot room down below in the basement is not ideal, if you come in the front, which was our only option since the back door (and possibly and easier route to ski out) was completely blocked with snow. Kitchen was well stocked. Overall a very comfortable stay and we would recommend.

Perfect for 2 families

  • 5 of 5

This is the 3rd place we’ve stayed in Big White and our favourite so far. Easy, accessible ski in/out location and great access to village. Perfect layout for 2 families with kids with 2 masters each paired with a bunk/twin room. Very clean. Property manager was very responsive. Overall a great stay!!

Impressive rental chalet in Big White

  • 5 of 5

The chalet is well situated between the lower gondola and the village with panoramic views over the valley and mountains. The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need (incl BBQ and hot tub). Both the owner and on-site manager were very helpful. Our party consisted of 5 adults and a toddler and we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend the property to anyone visiting Big White resort

Big White, Big Style

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic spot right in the village at Big White. Lots of room, great hot tub, and all the amenities you’d find in a good hotel and more. Hope to be back!

The property is gorgeous but it didn't suit our needs

  • 3 of 5

The internet stopped working after day 1. With a big group of 10 people with everyone hooked to their devices this is a big negative for us. The care taker said that it connected and we all agree that when we tried to connect our devices it always says that it is connected but it actually never worked. We offered to call the Internet provider on behalf of the owners but we need to have account number which was never provided to us.

The house is beautiful and you can see deers passing by in the morning. But if anyone is travelling during summer we really need fans for the top floor . Basement is fine. It was 32 degrees one evening and if you open the windows that don't have the net you will be swarmed by flies. The house is stocked well.

When we read about big white during summer the web pages talked about few interesting things to do, but in reality it is very quiet and u hardly see anyone around here and the only store don't even stock basic amenities . For anything you need, you have to go back to Kelowna .

Overall we might comeback during winter if there is a guarantee for Internet !!!

Owner's Response: Telus unfortunately had an outage while these guests were there and given the short length of their stay we were not able to get it resolved before they left. I am surprised that they gave us a negative review because I thought we handled the situation quite well. We ended up discounting their stay by 40% even though it was not our fault. Usually our summer renters (Big White is a winter destination) are planning on being in the area for a particular event. Unfortunately these renters did not realize that there wasn't much going on there in the summer time and perhaps thought it was more of a four seasons resort like Whistler. I will be more careful in the future to offer summer rentals only to people who know what summers at Big White are like.
