About the property

THE SPACE

Branded under the umbrella of WeilHouse Living, () this is but one of our three unique properties offering you a chance to experience beauty, nature and simplicity. This is our family home that I make available for rent whilst I am away. The Farm House a stunning space of lovingly crafted eclectic materials that come together in a way that make you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. It has extraordinary views, and many outdoor day beds to soak it all up. Our rural home has comfort and style at it's heart. We have created a unique space where you can relax and enjoy the surrounds. Pantry and Kitchen are well equipped with all the comforts of home generously taken care of.

There is one King Bed, 2 Queen Beds and one double bed out on th verandah with stunning views. The outdoor bed has an electric blanket in the winter months. We have an inside bathroom with toilet and an additional toilet in the laundry. There is a second bath and shower outside on the verandah under the stars. There is one child's bedroom which is not accessible to guests. Please let us know if you would specifically like to sleep outside when you book with us.

OUR FARM ANIMALS

We have two dogs, three horses, two sheep, two hives of native stingless bees, over 100 heritage chickens and one rooster free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. If you are allergic to dogs then this property is not suitable for you.

OUR FARM FRESH VEGGIES & EGGS

We are organically certified and we grow beautiful seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a mixed box of veggies and eggs (aprox $60-$80) please let us know when you book in and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive.

LOCAL ORGANIC MARKETS

We sell our produce at the Bellopy organic farmers markets every 1st, & 3rd Saturday of the month. For more details google Bellopy Markets.

OUR PERMACULTURE STYLE FARM

The Farm House is situated within our orchard and veggie gardens, so you get to see the distinctive growing seasons within your stay.

PASSIVE SOLAR DESIGN

Our home is built from second hand and recycled doors, windows and timber. Every care has been taken to limit our carbon footprint in the way we are set up. Solar power, rain tanks and our reed bed septic system means we recycle all our resources back into the farm and the food we produce here.

GETTING TO BELLINGEN

Bellingen is spread out, with many beautiful valleys, rivers and bush walks to enjoy and explore. So having your own car is important to getting around and seeing all that it offers.

FLYING: Coffs harbour airport is 30 min away.

TRAINS: Urunga Train station is 20 min away.

BUSES: we have a bus service to both urunga and coffs that goes into bellingen town.

TAXIS: we have taxis from bellingen town.

GUEST ACCESS & HOUSE RULES

ACCESS

You have your own private house at the top of our farm. It has flat access with under cover parking. You are welcome to enjoy our whole farm and explore the property. Please ensure you keep all the gates closed to keep our animals safe and to ensure that our crops remain safe from our animals.

INTERACTION WITH US

We run a busy farm...our onsite caretakers will pop up and say hello to you and see if you have everything you need. (not always as soon as you arrive). Then, they leave you to your holiday. We want you to make yourselves at home and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. If you or your children would like to help feed our chickens and collect the eggs please ask us when you arrive.

HOUSE RULES

This is a lovingly put together family home. We would like you to look after our space and leave it as you found it. This is not a party house - you may not have additional guests above and beyond those listed on the booking. We cater for small intimate weddings.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Our house uses rain tank water and we recycle the grey water, so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with laundry wash nuts.

Please do not use any cleaning chemicals in the house or chemical based fly spray and cockroach spray as this impacts our health and well being. We supply environmentally friendly alternatives.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that sometimes you may have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond your control, or that floods may prevent you from reaching the house. If this should happen we are happy for you to rebook your stay with us at a date that suits you and one that is free for us. If you want to cancel your booking and are able to give us enough notice, we can re list it and if we can find someone to take your booking we will reimburse you, however if we can't find someone then you will haver to book at another available date.

* We have great walks just outside the front door

* Enjoy the pristine never never river with a picnic and a swim in the promised land.

* The Dorrigo mountains are just 25 min away

* The beautiful beaches of Urunga, Valla & Hungry head are just 20 minutes away

* Take in the local artisans and produce of Bellingen and its regional areas with local markets 2nd, 3rd, and 4th saturday of the month.

* The Bellopy organic produce markets are on every 1st,3rd, and 5th Friday of the month from 8-1.30pm at the Anglican Church in town.

* Go horse riding in Vallery

* Canoe down the Bellinger river

*v isit the butterfly farm, water slides and bike track

* We have great local folk music every Friday night at the Lodge

* Ask us what's on....lots of workshops, music and community events on
