The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is completely safe any time of the day or night. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore. Please make yourself at home at Banks Road Estate, and enjoy all our island has to offer.
The house was perfect for our family of 9. It is such a beautiful place. Sharon French was so helpful answering multiple questions before our arrival. If we needed anything after our arrival Matt Simon was sure to make it happen. He also was very helpful with our initial contract. Very quick to respond. Henrietta quickly came to our rescue with a key when the bedroom door was inadvertently locked. Vincent, the gardener, climbed the coconut tree and opened the coconuts with his machete so we could drink the water. The children loved that! The estate is convenient to Govenor's Harbour ,groceries and the airport. We loved the Buchaneer's Club Restaurant and Da Perk Coffee. A little farther away is the Sunset Inn Restaurant which was wonderful for lunch. In the other direction is the Front Porch which is like having your private chef..Frances is so attentive and the food is delicious. We all enjoyed the Friday Fish Fry. Eleuthera and it's people is so unspoiled and lovely!
We had a big group staying at both 7palms and bougainvillea, ages ranging from 4-74 and we all had an amazing time on this beautiful, friendly island. The houses were so nice and the new pool was an great addition. There were lots of things to do by all, whether it was staying at the house, relaxing or swimming in the pool and beach, or exploring the many wonders of the islands our family was very content and satisfied we picked Eleuthera as our spring break destination this year. The staff at the house were super nice and very helpful if we had any questions or concerns. Would love to return someday to this beautiful island. We will cherish these memories had by all family forever.
The “Banks Road Estate” was all it was represented and expected to be. Great location and natural beauty, an amazing property in good condition, plenty of space for our party of 11 (6 adults, 5 young children), and very personable and helpful local/ on-site “contacts” in the persons of Shorlette, Henrietta, and Horatio. Similarly, the people at Eleuthera Vacation Rentals were most helpful in locating and coordinating this great property to meet our particular needs. The weather was mild and nice for most days, but windy/cool/ cloudy for a couple of days due to very cold weather in the North. The pool, though small, was perfect for the kids on the days when the ocean was not a good option. Bottom line is that we had a wonderful time with family at a beautiful location.
If you're looking for privacy, natural beauty, lots of space, open and airy accommodations, peace and quiet, yet still be within easy driving distance to fun activities and great restaurants - then look no further. Seven Palms has all of this and more. The house is large and sprawling. There is a main, common room in the center with a large powder room, galley kitchen, living/dining area that opens up to a huge veranda overlooking the Atlantic ocean. You can hear the surf from every room. The six bedrooms extend off two arms from the common area, 3 on one side, 3 on the other. Each bedroom has its own full bath, and everyone agreed the beds were incredibly comfortable. The house and grounds are clean and well-maintained. At this writing, the house does appear to be undergoing a few minor renovations (i.e. doors and trim throughout are all primed and ready for paint), but this did not detract from any of the comforts the estate has to offer. The beach there was long, private, simply fantastic. The agent through which we rented was amazing: attentive, responsive, friendly, courteous, helpful, and very professional. He responded immediately to every question, large or small, during our rental process and always made us feel important and respected. Our property manager at the house was just as wonderful: attentive to our every need, always available, friendly, good-humored, and accommodating. She really made us feel welcome and at home! The housekeeper and her staff were likewise accommodating - adjusting their schedules to fit ours. The grounds keepers were unobtrusive and friendly. one of them even climbed a coconut tree for us one day (barefoot!) and with machete in hand, hacked off several coconuts for us. He chopped them open and we enjoyed fresh coconut milk right there! The Pina Coladas were never fresher than they were that day. Lanny's restaurant for take away food was terrific - they cooked for 11 of us even through a brief power outage! Tippy's is famous and did not disappoint. We also bought fresh grouper right off the boat in Gov's. Harbor and grilled it on the wood-fired grill that was ready for us every evening. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the "madding crowds."
We arrived with two extended families and the estate was perfect for a large group like ours.
The houses are beautiful and well-appointed. The beach on this part of the island is wonderful for playing in the surf, fishing, or beach combing.
The property is close to town and Tippy's (great restaurant / bar).
We are eager to come back..
We came with two families with high school and college kids. The estate was perfect! Just far enough from town for complete solitude but just a few minutes from the best restaurants (our favorite was Tippy's).
The villas were well-constructed and well-kept; the staff was attentive and professional. The grounds are beautiful.
The pink sand beach out front is one of the best on the island.
