About Russ Plummer
I am one of a couple and we've been together for 15 years and we have a lovely country getaway. It's our own special piece of paradise. Over the last 5 years since we've owned the property, we've poured our hearts, our time, blood, sweat and tears into renovating it and getting to a place where we, our friends and others can enjoy.
Russ Plummer purchased this House in 2012
Why Russ Plummer chose Curraweela
Abercrombie Ridge is the perfect place for families on school holidays or groups of friends to enjoy a weekend away out of the city.
What makes this House unique
Once on the property you have complete exclusive use of the facilities and property. We have an amazing hot tub which is perfect with a few glasses of wine on sunset or relaxing under the stars. We also have a full games room for the big kids or little kids which has ping pong, pool, giant jingo, giant chess and foozball. The property also provides hours of bush walking and hiking tracks down to the Abercrombie River.

What an amazing property! Couldn’t fault anything. Welcoming hosts, brilliant accommodation and a spectacular location. Thank you!
Andrew and his family were absolutely wonderful guests & left the house in immaculate condition. We really appreciate the great comments in the guest book and the excellent review. I’m so glad Andrew and his family enjoyed the property and managed to get some rest and relaxation together. We hope to welcome Andrew and his family back on the Ridge again soon.
Place to Unwind!
Our group of four adults and 4 children had a wonderful long weekend stay at Abercrombie Ridge. The property itself is immaculate, the scenery beautiful and the host committed to ensuring a great stay. The fire pit certainly got a workout - the perfect place for an afternoon beverage and the inside fire also kept us cosy. The house is very well equipped and kitchen had everything we needed. The spa was super warm and our group also enjoyed a hike on the property to a lovely river. We highly recommend a stay here and hope to return in the future.
Getting away from the city to this amazing property was an amazing experience. With the perfect location we got to experience all the country has to offer combined with many homely comforts. Would recommend to anyone.
Georgeous Country Getaway
Our family can highly recommend this peaceful and unique country property. 'The Barn' was immaculate, had tasteful interiors, was warm and cosy in the middle of winter with the wood fire going most of the time. The owners have thoughtfully equipped the home with everything you need.
Our highlights: the spa at sunset, wood fires inside and out, picturesque views (even at night under the thousands of stars), local wildlife and the fact we could bring our puppy with us!
Hope to return.
Wonderful place to stay..... PEACEFUL & RELAXING ...we didn't want to leave.
FANTASTIC hosts..... would highly recommend.
Just what the doctor ordered!
From the minute we arrived at the property Russ (and Maddie and Kyle) made us so welcome. All the information we needed was in the welcome pack and everything was exactly as described on the web site. The house was so well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed with our 4 kids, aged 18 - 10 years old and reconnected as a family. We went on a bush walk, recommend by Russ, and saw an echidna and kangaroos. Most of the time was spent in the spa, especially at night seeing the amazing night sky. My only complaint was that we didn't stay longer.
